The day wrapped up nicely, leaving me all alone tonight... to be honest I kind of missed being alone sometimes, I'd had so much drama recently.
Except just as I walked into my dorm door, Another person followed me in.
I turned around to see Lizzie, with an excited face as she held a small piece of paper... not the one from before... but a new one.
"Look Mikaelson" Lizzie pushes it towards me.
'Old Mill party, tonight at 8' Were the words I pieced together out of the poorly produced leaflet.
"What about it" I ask her.
"I mean... I was seeing if you'd want to go" Lizzie intrigues.
"I guess I could... But aren't you going with Sebastian or something" I ask.
"Well, he's going to be there... but I doubt he'd even care if I got taken out in an ambulance, so I came to my second best option" Lizzie sarcasm wore through.
"Second best... wow" I joke.
"I suppose I could give you a promotion" Lizzie whispers, drawing herself closer to me.
"Oh really now" I whisper back.
The silence is broken by a smile and a small laugh off Lizzie... Man she was so beautiful.
I know before I said I couldn't see anything happening with her... It might've slightly changed.
Although this is a short lived moment as my dorm door flies open unexpectedly without warning as both our heads snap away from each other and we pull our bodies away.
It was... Josie? Had she ever heard of knocking?
"I knew it" Josie's expression changed slightly.
"What" I try speak up.
"Theres something going on here... I knew it." Josie's voice filled with anger.
Lizzie is pretty much silent, which is a far stretch from kissing me infront of her earlier.
"Don't you get it... She's using you." She sounds paranoid.
"Josie... We're friends" I cut her off.
"Don't give me that Hope... You hated Lizzie before, she made your life hell for years and now I'm just going to sit back and watch her manipulate you into something?... Besides 'friends' don't kiss each other... now do they?" Josie began to ramble.
"Thats rich coming from you sister... Yeah I've heard all about your little 'playing with feelings' shit you pulled..." Lizzie steps infront of me.
"As I said... we're friends" I add.
"Whatever" Josie snarls.
"No... No I know what's going on here. Its so obvious... You're jealous" Lizzie begins to move closer to Josie.
"What, Jealous of what" Josie masks.
"Of anyone but you, being close to Hope... you don't like that do you?... Because you know how she felt about you didn't you? You liked keeping her on the side incase anything happened" Lizzie lets out the secret... I shoot a quick 'fuck' look over.
I know she didn't mean to tell her... but I mean... She could've maybe shut up.
"What..." Josie questions.
"You know what... I'm going to head out... I'll see you at 8" Lizzie whispers an 'I'm sorry' over before heading out.
And awkward silence is set upon the room... It was clear she was thinking things over.
"I-is this true" Josie breaks the silence.
"Is what true" I snark back, trying to avoid the question.
I end up making my way over to my closet to avoid any sort of eye contact.
Pulling out a blue and a yellow t-shirt.
"Which one" I try deflect the question.
"Oh come on Hope.. for once be honest with me... You know what I'm talking about" Josie now becomes a little more aggravated.
I don't say a word... which speaks volumes.
"She wasn't lying was she" Josie takes a deep breath, coming to terms with what she did.
"Oh fuck... Oh fuck... I get it now... Of course you'd be angry with me after the kiss... No I get it, Oh my god" Josie decides to overthink.
"Hope I'm so sorry" She adds.
"Its fine, I'm over it. It was nothing major anyway" I lie a little, of course it was.
"Now I feel stupid... I honestly didn't realise" Josie steps a little closer to me.
"Don't worry about it.. lets just leave it and pretend it never happened" I try deflect once more to avoid the awkwardness.
"I don't think... I don't know what to say" Josie looks down at the floor.
"Don't say anything, just leave it... its over" I hated this, it was so embarrassing.
Once more an awkward cloud of silence fills the air.
"You had a crush on me" Josie's voice broke it.
"Who wouldn't" I reply, with a small smile.
Josie reciprocates this smile, which definitely alleviated some fears of mine... like I said I didn't want to lose her.
"Shame you didn't say that a year or two ago" Josie explains.
"Why is that" I chuckle.
"I had a crush on you for a month or two when we were 14..." Josie tries to move the awkwardness onto her.
"I didn't even know" I smile.
But then silence struck once more.
"Well... I Better get back, Jade will be worrying where I am... I guess I'll see you around tonight" Josie leaves pretty much instantly after...
I was left there... alone.
I begin to get ready until a my door creeks open a little.
"Knock, knock" I soon to recognise to be Lizzie's voice.
"You come back to spill some more secrets of mine?" I try to laugh It off.
"That would require me to know more than 1" Lizzie smiles before walking over.
Throwing her arms over my shoulders as she brings me into a tight hug of apology, As her breath hitched my neck.
"I'm so sorry" Lizzie apologises.
"Don't be" I assure her.
"To make it up to you... I decided I'd help you with your outfit as your style... is questionable..." Lizzie's sarcasm filled the air once more.
"You seemed to like it today" I mimic.
"Touche" Lizzie smirks.
