Chapter 38:

Harry's POV:

"Same bed but it feels just a little bit bigger now. Our song on the radio but it don't sound the same. When our friends talk about you all it does is just tear me down. 'Cause my heart breaks a little when I hear your name. It all just sounds like ooh."

I sang with so much emotion. Even though Olivia didn't have a boyfriend, I sang for her. I was falling for her, but she was oblivious to the fact that I was. She was watching me with a huge smile on her face that only made me break out in one before continuing singing.

"Mmm, too young, too dumb to realize that I should have bought you flowers, and held your hand. Should have gave you all my hours, when I had the chance. Take you to every party cause all you wanted to do was dance. Now my baby's dancing, but she's dancing with another man."

I was so lost in the words that I didn't notice the soft rain that started to slowly fall around the two of us. Small droplets hit our bodies but I didn't care. I was lost in the music, and Olivia seemed to be too.

"My pride, my ego, my needs, and my selfish ways, caused a good strong woman like you, to walk out my life. Now I never, never get to clean up the mess I made, ohhh. And it haunts me every time I close my eyes. It all just sounds like oooh. Mmm, too young, too dumb to realize that I should have bought you flowers and held your hand. Should have gave you all my hours, when I had the chance. Take you to every party cause all you wanted to do was dance. Now my baby's dancing, but she's dancing with another man."

The weather slowly grew rougher as it turned from a drizzle into rain. Our clothes were being soaked. Olivia's white shirt was clinging to her skin, showing off her very defined curves and bra, but I didn't look. I was staring into her bright, beautiful blue eyes.

"Although it hurts, I'll be the first to say that I was wrong. Oh, I know I'm probably much too late to try and apologize for my mistakes, but I just want you to know."

I stopped for a second, taking in our surroundings. Although it was quiet, the water was coming down faster and harsher. We were drenched to the bone, literally. Lighting flashed through the sky, followed shortly by thunder. Olivia seemed to snap out of the trance too because she tried to peel her wet shirt off her body so her chest wasn't as exposed.

"Come on," I let go of one of her hands and jogged down the street. She quickly followed me as we splashed through puddles. I knew we weren't going to be at Marisa's house for another few minutes at least so I pulled Olivia into a small, sheltered alleyway to try and wait a little bit to see if the storm quickly passes over.

Olivia chuckled from beside me. "Should've taken the car," she joked. I smiled before noticing her see through shirt. I decided not to tease her about it now because if I were her, I wouldn't want to be walking the street like that. I shrugged off my black jacket and passed it to her. She shook her head and pushed it back to me.

"Come on. Take it," I urged her while waving it in front of her. "No because then you'll get even more wet and it's your jacket," she argued. "Please take it," I insisted but she stubbornly shook her head. I sighed and held the leather by the collar and swung it around Olivia's body. She tried to shrug it off but I held it at her shoulders. "Please?" I pleaded. She searched my face a second before nodding.

I smiled and helped her slip her arms into the jacket's arms. She gripped the material around her, and I smiled at how cute she looked. Even though I was cold, it was worth it and the right thing. "Harry," Olivia nudged my arm. "Hmm?" I hummed. "You didn't finish the song," she smiled at me.

I returned the gesture and grabbed her hands like I did before. The rain pounding on the cement at the entrance of the alley. It was almost like it curtained us in this little area. Like we were alone. I took a deep breath before softly continuing the song.
