Chapter 44:
Harry's POV:
This moment right now is what I missed. I missed just hanging out with my best friends. I hated the guy I've become because of girls, but now I'm who I was because of Olivia.
We were all sitting around Marisa's living room, just talking and messing around. Louis and AJ were trying to plank on different objects while snapping photos of each other. Marisa and Olivia were in a deep conversation on the couch across from me, while Chase was talking to Louis and AJ. Every once in a while I'd catch Olivia's eye and make a funny face, resulting in her laughing.
Marisa, probably annoyed with how much I'm distracting Olivia, stood up and walked off towards the kitchen. I laughed then looked back to the blonde haired girl and winked. She laughed again while her cheeks turned a light pink color. Whenever Olivia laughs, her nose cringes just a bit and her head slightly tilts to the side. This makes her look cute, yet sexy at the same time. And she's all mine.
I smiled then quickly redirected my attention to the left when a loud thump and groan sounded. Louis lay in a fallen pile on the floor with AJ laughing hysterically next to him. "What happened?" Chase asked the boy with an amused grin. "He. Fell. Off. The. Banister!" AJ managed to say between laughs. I snickered as Louis tried to stand up.
"Bloody hell!" he whined aloud as he put pressure on his arm. "Bloody hell!" Olivia mocked in a - I have to say it - perfect British accent. Louis managed to pull himself off the ground and glared at Olivia while the rest of us chuckled. "Damn Americans," he muttered and Olivia smiled widely.
"I have biscuits," Marisa announced as she walked back into the room with a package. "That's nasty," AJ stated while she, Olivia, and Chase all cringed. "What?" I asked. "Who packages biscuits?" Chase questioned us with a disgusted expression across his face. "She means cookies," Louis, who has finally recovered, clarified.
The three Americans 'ahhed' and Olivia faced me. "But you called them cookies the other day," she pointed out and I shrugged. "I was just being a nice person and helping you understand," I answered. She nodded and took a biscuit from the package.
"Where's your bathroom?" Chase asked Marisa and I groaned aloud. "You mean the loo," I corrected him. He glared at me and I raised my hands in defense. "You're in England now," I pointed out and he chuckled. "Down the hall and it's the second on the left," Marisa told him. He nodded and walked away to do his business.
"Why are Brits so confusing?" Olivia groaned. Louis rolled his eyes at her and sat down next to me. "You Americans are the ones that make no sense," he pointed out. I snapped my fingers in what I thought was a 'Z' formation, only to be corrected by a sassy Louis. The others laughed at this sight as you can tell.
"I bet you don't know any of our special English words," AJ smirked. Marisa came and sat down on the opposite side of Louis. It kind of looked like Americans versus British. I laughed at the thought. "I do," Marisa announced. We all turned to her and she cleared her throat. "Yo, man. I saw these gnarly waves this morning. Surf's up, dude!" Marisa slurred in a stereotypical California guy accent while making the 'surf's up' sign with her hands. We all burst into hysterics at her failed attempt to copy them.
"Nobody sounds like that in California," Olivia giggled. "Only the guys who try to act cool say stuff like that," Chase, who finished his business, added with the two girls nodding. "Well, do you say anything like that?" I asked them. They all looked at each other. "Sometimes during summer I say 'surf's up', but nothing else," Olivia admitted. My girlfriend's a surfer girl? Nice pick, Styles.
