Chapter Six

Ellie's POV.

Lauren: what are you doing today?

Me: it's mine an Justin's one month. He has a surprise set up I guess. Why?

Lauren: remember Noah?

Me: yeah. Of course! You guys have been dating for like 3 years. Why what's going on?

Lauren: do you want to be my maid of honor?

I stare at Lauren's text in shock. She's getting married! I can't believe it! This is fantastic! And she wants me to be her maid of honor!

Me: HE PROPOSED?!

I tap out the reply quickly and think over their relationship. They have been dating for three years now, and they are 21. Good age to get married at I guess. I'm so happy for her.

Lauren: YES! IM SO EXCITED!

Me: OMG! I'll call you after we have dinner! I WANT ALL THE DETAILS!

"Is that your dad?" Justin asks from the doorway of my room, looking at me doing my make up, and apparently texting.

"No. Lauren. Remember her?" I ask.

"Blond? Really loud?" He asks describing her and I nod my head.

"That's her."

"Oh yea. What did she say?"

"She getting married!" I exclaim with an ear to ear grin.

"Wow! Tell her I say congrats!"

"I will," I tell him turning back to the mirror where I apply some natural looking eye shadow.

"She want you to be her maid of honor?" He ask walking farther into the room and by my side.

"Yup," I say popping the "p" at the end.

"Great! Who are you taking as your date?" He ask with a raised eyebrow.

"I dunno. Maybe Josh Hutcherson. Or... Taylor Lautner. Yeah... I could ask Taylor," I tell him laughing a he scowls at me.

"Of course your going to be my date. Who else?" I ask taking his face in my hands and pecking him on the lips.

"Apparently Taylor Lautner," he says with a huff when I pull away to finish my make up.

"I was kidding!"

"I know. I just like giving you a hard time," he tells me with a grin, then chuckles. It's my turn to scowl now.

"Jerk."

"Do you have reservations?" The host at the front of the restaurant asks.

"Yes we do. Should be under Malette," he says and I raise an eyebrow.

"They don't usually think Justin Bieber when they hear Malette," he explains leaning over and whispering in my ear.

"Oh," I mouth and he nods his head.

"Follow me," the host tells us an we follow her to a private patio area at the side of the restaurant.

"Thanks," I say smiling at Justin when he pulls my seat out for me and pushes me back in, then take his own seat.

"Of course."

"Here's your menus, someone should be around to take your order in a minute," the lady tells us and we smile and nod as she walks away.

"Wow. You out did yourself this time Bieber," I tell him with a smile.

"Nah, the best is yet to come," he assures me with a wink.

"So what's good here?" I ask looking down at the menu.

"Everything really. My favorite is the burger!" He say and laughs and I join him. Only Justin would come to a seafood place and get a burger.

"But the steaks are good too," he says nodding his head approvingly at himself. Dork.

"Ok, share with me?" I ask.

"The steak?" He asks and I nod my head.

"Ok! I could go for a steak!"

"Last bites yours!" I tell him holding out the last bite of steak on my fork and he bites it and swallows thankful.

"Yummy!" He says and I giggle.

"Man I'm stuffed," I tell him sitting back and he does the same.

"Listen," he tells me and points his finger up, gesturing to the stereo on the roof that's playing music. It's playing "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz.

He stands up and adjusts his dress pants before holding his hand out in front of me.

"Care to dance?" He asks and I take his hand getting up.

"Sure."

He sways me gently to the music and sings the lyrics in my ear as they play. Pulling away he twirls me a few times and brings me closer resting his hands on my hips, with my hands interlocked behind his neck.

When the song finishes he pulls back and I look up. He looks from one of my eyes to the other, then down at my lips and he leans in. Grazing my lips with his, then finally kissing me gently. Then harder. He bites my lower lips lightly, and I can feel myself smile into the kiss. He deepens the kiss an pulls back after a few minutes, smiling widely.

"Sit down," he tells me pulling my seat out for me like he did earlier and I sit in it, then he takes his seat.

"So, it's been a month. Since I first laid my eyes on you. My beautiful girl. And although, you already said yes to being my girlfriend, I thought I should ask you again. Mostly because we were both a little buzzed when I asked, and when you said yea," he explains and I laugh, "so. Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks holding open a black box, revealing a necklace.

It's a locket. A heart-shaped locket. With a silver chain, the heart is silver, and the outline of the heart is embroidered with diamonds.

"Yes!" I say nodding my head enthusiastically and he leans forward to kiss me.

"Wooh! I thought you were gonna say no." He says leaning back in his chair after the kiss.

"Isn't that what you said the first time you asked?!" I ask him laughing as he stands up and walks around the table behind me to put the necklace on.

"Probably. You make me so nervous!"

"I do?"

"Of course you do!"

"You make me nervous too," I admit looking down at my hands that are in my lap as he sits back down.

"We make each other nervous!" He exclaims laughing.

I look down at my locket admiring it. This is by far the best gift any of my boyfriends have ever gotten me. And definitely the most adorable. It has the letters "E+J= <3" on the back of the locket.

"Now I just need to find a picture to put in it," I tell him, looking up and smiling.

"I think we can arrange that," he tells me and takes out his phone turning on the camera, then coming to stand next to me.

"Ready? One. Two. Three!" He exclaims and we both smile, but at the last second he turns and kisses my cheek before the picture is taken.

"I like it," he tells me handing me his phone to look at.

It's an amazing picture. He's kissing my cheek, as I smile looking at the camera, and you can see the sun setting a perfect orange color in the back.

"Me too," I tell him nodding.
