Chapter Ten:
Ellie's POV.
May 3, 2012.
"Hmmm," Lauren says dragging out the m's.
"I think that one," I tell her pointing to the navy blue bridesmaids dress on the computer monitor.
"I like that one too!" She says happily and clapping her hands.
"Oh my gosh! That one!" I exclaim pointing at the dress.
It's a navy blue high-low dress, with a scrunch looking design on the chest, and then right under the boob and down it flows all the way till mid thigh in the front and mid calf in the back.
"I think everyone is gonna like that one!" She says giddily referring to her bridesmaids. Which all of us have been friends since we can remember.
There's Mariah, who's got brown straight hair that goes a little past her shoulders, brown eyes, and a thin figure. There's also, Kai who has short blond wavy hair, and blue eyes, and a super thin figure. And then the last bridesmaid is Denise, who has really long, light brown hair, brown eyes, and has a tall slim figure. I can't believe Lauren chose me to be the maid of honor.
"I think so too," I agree.
"Oh my gosh!" She exclaims jumping to her feet.
"What is it?!"
"I forgot. I scheduled a session to meet with the florist to go over the bouquets."
"Oh what time is that at?"
"Umm..." She says trailing off as she checks the time on her phone.
"Right now," she say with a grin.
"Well lets go!" I exclaim shoving her out the door.
As much as I love the idea of being the maid of honor for my best friend, it's really crazy how much planning she is doing. She's cramming all of the things on her check list into five months. They decided they wanted to get married this year, and in August.
Convenient.
________
"Those are beautiful," Lauren says as she points to some sunflowers. But these aren't regular sunflowers. They are more modern and up to date, with their white petals, and splashes of color.
How they did that to the flowers I don't know. But it's not paint, the actual flower is colored like that.
"What do you think?" She asks turning to me.
"I think they go well with your color scheme, and they are really cool," I tell her, because they do. The splashes of color are also navy.
"Your right," she agrees bending down to sniff one.
"And they smell good to!" She exclaims with a giant grin on her face as she stands back up, "yea, we are gonna go with these ones," she tells the older looking lady who is helping us.
"Alright sounds perfect," the lady responds holding up a thumbs up.
"I can email you all the information," I tell the lady plucking up a company card at the front desk and putting it in my back pocket.
"Alright, so I will be getting all the information from you then?" She asks raising an eyebrow.
"Yes," I reply.
Usually it is the bride and the groom who prepare all this stuff, and coordinate with the florist and what not. But fulfilling my duties as a maid of honor I decided I would help out and prepare things and coordinate with everyone who is making the wedding happen, instead of them. Giving both Lauren and Noah a little less to worry about.
