Miyuki gritted his teeth together as he clenched the scorebook in his hand. Damn Sawamura, running his mouth off like that when he knew nothing. He had been having a good day during practice, batting better than normal and getting to tease Alexia. Seeing Sawamura on the ground in front of Rei had seemed like the icing on the cake. Until the brat opened his mouth.
He made his way up the stairs and reached for the handle to his room. He paused as loud voices drifted out to him. From the sound of it, it was Jun and Kuramochi were inside. Miyuki groaned, wishing more than usual that his dorm hadn't become the usual hangout spot. This was why he had planned to go over the book in the office. With the others in his room, there was no way he was going to be able to concentrate.
He sighed, debating his options. He could go back to the office since Sawamura was likely gone by now, but the memory was fresh would and only upset him more. He could go to the cafeteria, but it was almost a given other students would be there. His room was out of the question. As his mind whirred for another option, maybe the dugouts, he remembered the room that he had studied in before. His eyes shifted over to the door a few down and he weighed the pros and cons.
He knew that he could study well in her room; Alexia wouldn't bother him. She might even join him, and her attention to detail could definitely help. He had always preferred to go over the books alone, though. But he also didn't find himself doubting that Alexia would let him be if he asked. He was fairly certain that she wouldn't mind the intrusion either.
The cons: he couldn't think of any.
With that, he let his hand drop from his door handle and he walked the short way down to her room. Raising his fist, he knocked three times and waited for an answer.
"It's open," came the reply. Her voice sounded distracted, but Miyuki brushed it off. He turned the knob and pushed the door open.
"Pardon the intrusion, Miya-chan, but could I study in here?" Miyuki asked as he stepped inside.
Alexia cast him a brief glance from her computer screen. "Yeah, sure. Is your room being overrun again?"
He chuckled slightly, bitterness still sitting on his tongue. "Yeah, they're being really rowdy." He made his way to the table and took his usual seat across from her. A few days ago he had complained to Alexia about how his room somehow became the gathering place for the most annoying teammates.
He noticed Alexia cast him another look as he spoke, but she didn't say anything as she resumed watching her screen. Her earrings glinted slightly as she shifted her head and it was then that Miyuki realized that she was in a bra and shorts. He felt his face heat up slightly as he jerked his gaze down to the scorebook. "Miya-chan, are you trying to give me fanservice?" he teased as he painted on a smirk.
She furrowed her brows, still not looking at him. "The fuck do you mean?"
"You're not wearing a shirt."
Alexia looked down at herself, pausing the video she was watching. "Oh," was her dry response before she looked up at Miyuki. "Sorry, I forgot. Want me to put a shirt on?"
He quirked an eyebrow at her. "What do you mean do I want you to? Shouldn't you be the one uncomfortable right now?" He found his voice going lighter. His anger still bubbled beneath the surface, but the usual calm atmosphere and banter that came with Alexia helped soften the sharp taste.
She rolled her eyes. "After spending five years of changing in front of my American team, I stopped caring. I'm in a sports bra. If you're uncomfortable though, I can put one on. I don't mind."
