Tommy's POV

SNAP!

My smile quickly faded, the smile made by her saying ok, the smile made by her reaching for my hand, that smile was gone. And it was replaced by my horrified expression. Everyone and everything was in slow motion as I watched her fall. It seemed like everything stopped. Her face wasn't horrified or sad, it was fear. She was scared and I could tell.I could tell she doesn't want this.

I couldn't believe I failed. If I just moved faster, talked calmer or helped her more she could be safe. I felt like I had just been stabbed in the heart by my own mistake.

I was taken out of my trance by the sounds of sirens. I knew they wouldn't get to her fast enough. So I made the decision to do it myself. I quickly got up on the bridge railing

And jumped.

But I didn't jump to end my life it was to save someone else.

I hit the water with such force it hurt a lot but it could've been worse if I didn't dive. The water was extremely cold but I ignored it. I had one goal and one goal only, save this girl. After what felt like minutes of looking (which was really seconds) I saw her. She had lost Consciousness and was slowly falling towards the river bottom. I swam towards her and grabbed her by the arm. I swam up to the surface and took a deep breath. I was tired but I kept pushing till I reached the shore. I pulled her onto land and took a second to breathe. I looked over at Lia and noticed she wasn't breathing. I check her pulse and her heart had stopped. I panicked for a second but focused again when I remembered what to do.
(I don't know how cpr works so that's why it is most likely written wrong)
I hovered my hand over her chest then interlocked my fingers. I began counting as I pumped but I hesitated before performing the necessary rescue breaths. I heard paramedics and fire fighters run towards me.

"We got it from here kid" I heard one of the fire fighters say.

"Rob wait! The kid has a steady Rhythm that we shouldn't break" the paramedic yelled at the fire fighter. I continued as paramedics and firefighters watched carefully. then suddenly she jolted up and spit out a bunch of water. I let out a large breath of relief. I smiled at her as she caught her breath.

Lia's POV

Everything was dark. I couldn't see anything. I was confused but then I remembered what happened. "Is this death?" I thought. I looked around, I appeared to be on a very steep hill. At the bottom was a small door. It was all black, but it would be easy to get to. In front of me was a white door it was at the top of the hill though.

I wanted to go down to the dark door but something stopped me. When I looked back at the white door I saw tommy! He was smiling at me with a smile that said everything Is going to be ok. I believed it. I knew which door I needed to go through. Suddenly a burst of adrenaline hit me and I started to walk up the hill. My legs felt like spaghetti and my chest burned but I continued. Once I reached the white door I let my body fall through.

The first thing I saw when I was "brought back to life" was tommy, he was out of breath but smiling nonetheless. He was a little shaken and he was soaking wet but relieved. I looked to my right to see 2 paramedics smiling at each other looking relieved. Suddenly I felt a blanket draped around me from behind and I looked back to see a fire fighter smiling at me warmly.

"Is this what it feels like to be cared about" I thought to myself. When I look around I see people who are only here to help me! Maybe Tommy was right. After taking a moment to catch my breath I stood up but was a little wobbly so Tommy wrapped his arm around me so I could balance. I noticed a cop pulled up and he was waving for up to come over. Tommy helped me make our way over to the cop.

"before we do anything I want you to know you are not in trouble. I just want to talk ti you both separately because all the witnesses except for the caller left." We nodded and he continued.

"Young lady you can go and talk to officer callston, she is over there." I looked to where he was pointing to see a cop smiling at me.

"And you sir can talk to me" the officer concluded and I walked over to the other officer.
