Tommy's POV
Time skip

I woke up to birds chirping outside my window. I looked around to see Lia dead asleep with her head on my chest again. I blushed and brushed my hand through her hair. After a few minutes of just laying I looked at my clock. It was 8 am so I decided it was about time to get up. I carefully lifted Lia's head off my chest and crawled out of bed. I looked down at the girl and smiled.

I suddenly felt something on my arms. I looked down and memories from last night flooded in. The nightmare, the cuts, the gasp, the comfort, the care. I smiled at thought, it was weird to feel like someone actually cares. I looked to see how neatly the bandages were laid and I noticed how my arm did not itch. 'Lia much have done a really good job on cleaning up my arms' I thought.

I then realized her t-shirt was stained with blood and a little ripped. I felt a little bad so I went into my closet and Pulled out my red and white baseball tee. I laid it on the bed hoping she would realize she could put it on. I quickly changed and left my room and went to the kitchen. I looked through the cabinets for anything to cook with. I eventually decided on crepes and bacon with a bowl of fresh fruit.
(Don't ask me why, this is what we eat at my house)

I effortlessly rolled the batter around the pan and flipped the crepes. I let the bacon sizzle on another pan and the coffee brew in the pot. I smiled at the memories I remembered.

"So you flip the crepe and let it cook till it is a very light brown." Tommy's father explained to him. "Can I try?!" he asked excitedly. Tommys father laughed at his antics and nodded. Tommy poured the liquid into the pan and let it move around the pan. He then flipped the crepe perfectly and put the pan back on the stove. Tommy father cheered and smiled at the young boys accomplishment.

"Oh the good old days" I thought to myself . I continued to cook for another twenty minutes till I finished. I placed the plate of crepes, bacon, and fruit in the middle of the table and made two cups of coffee. I was about to sit on the couch when I saw Lia at the top of the stairs.

She was wearing the t- shirt I left out for her. It almost reached her knees and looked like a dress. Her hair was in a messy bun atop her head and she had a warm smile. To be completely honest she looked beautiful. I just met her and I was already growing a crush. I pushed that thought aside and looked back at her.

"Good morning" she said happily

"Good morning" responded

"Something smells good" she said,

"Yeah come eat some breakfast" I motioned

She sat down and we both dug in. I will credit myself because it was fucken amazing.

"This is sooo good, where did you learn to make this?!" Lia asked happily.

"My dad taught me how to cook when I was really young" i smiled. We continued to eat in peace till Lia mentioned one thing.

"What happened last night to make you self harm" Lia asked carefully. I looked at my feet before answering.

"It was just a nightmare that I often have that brings back old memories" I said sadly.

"Like what?" Lia asked clearly trying to help.

"My mother died when I was six because I accidentally kicked a ball on the road and chased it... she got hit instead of me" I said sadly.

"I'm so sorry for your loss Tommy" she said honestly while taking my hand. I smiled but she did mention one more thing.

"Why did you panic when I saw you and cover your face?" She asked Cautiously. I sighed knowing there was no way out of this one. I tried to speak but just couldn't, so I decided I will show her. I lifted up my shirt just to reveal my lower abdomen. I saw her jaw drop and I can't blame her. My stomach was decorated with burns, bruises, cuts, scratches and welts.

"My dad isn't the nicest person" I said sheepishly. She looked at me with an unnamed expression that was a mix of sadness, concern and worry.

"You ok?" I asked trying to shake her from her trance.

"I am just shocked, you are always so happy." She said confused.

"I try not to let my dads actions effect mine" I said simply.

"I wish I could do that" She said with a chuckle. I understood and decided not to push it.

"Okay... you would tell me if you were ever in real danger, right?" She asked

"Of corse" I answered sincerely. We continued to eat happily then I realized it. I just admitted my entire life story to a person I met yesterday. I started to panic a bit but calmed immediately remembering the reaction Lia had. At least it is nice to know someone seems to cares... for once.

I thought it would be nice to give you guys a visual of what I think Lia looks like:
