Tommy's POV
"TOMMY!" I heard the scream from downstairs
"Yes s-sir" I stuttered
"Why aren't the dishes done?!" He asked aggressively.
"I f-forgot" I stuttered out. My father the swung his fist to hit me directly in the face. I fell backwards but my father continued.
'Slap!'
'Kick!'
'Punch!'
After a minute or two my father suddenly disappeared and behind him I saw my friends.
"Your so weak"
"Why are we even friends with you"
"You can't even take a punch"
'BEEP'
"We're not friends or family!"
'BEEP'
"We all hate you"
'BEEP'
I jolted up and turned off my alarm. I felt myself in a cold sweat as the memories of that dream lingered. I shook at the thought of how dreams can perfectly recite the past and also twist it. My thoughts were interrupted when I remembered why I am up. I quickly got dressed and went to the bathroom. I took off my sweater leaving just my t shirt.
My work from yesterday looks pretty bad but isn't infected. My main concern is my chest, the big cuts are still infected, bleeding and dried blood coated the outside. I replaced this bandages knowing that would be a problem for later. I put back on my sweater and made my way downstairs.
Once I got to the kitchen I started a pot of coffee and quietly sat waiting for it to brew.
"Good morning!" Wilbur said cheerfully from the couch.
"Fuck, you scared me" I said after jumping. Wilbur giggled at my antics.
"Tommy, I am sorry about yesterday" Wilbur said to me. I was a little shocked by the apology but I knew he would mention it.
"No need to apologize, I shouldn't have left" I said quickly
"It's ok" he said reassuringly
"Tommy can I ask you one question" Wilbur said carefully. I thought what harm could come from one question.
"Ok" I said
"How much do you pay to support you and your dad and is it legal to pay the bills as a minor" Wilbur asked. I didn't expect such a big question but it's better than other things he could have asked.
"I pay for mortgage, power, wifi, and sewage. And it is legal cause I just give my dad the money and he pays it" I explained rather fast
