Kirishima's POV:

Midoriya stood next to me, as Katsuki and Todoroki got ready for their match.

"Not gonna lie, I'm super stoked to see who's going to win this one." I rested my elbow on Midoriya's shoulder.

"Yeah, me too," he said.

"Who do you think it's going to be?"

"I dunno," he said, analyzing the two heroes in training, tilting his head to the side in thought.

Cute.

I shook that thought off, as he continued, "It's hard to say. When these two compete against each other, they go all out. Their rivalry is almost as bad as mine and Kacchan's." He chuckled at that. "I think Todoroki might have the upper hand in this particular instance."

"Want to bet on it," I asked with a smirk.

Midoriya turned to me, eyebrow cocked. "Are you suggesting we gamble? That doesn't sound very heroic," he teased.

"Aw, common, Midobro. Just a friendly wager. I've got ¥2200 on Blasty."

He thought about it for a second, before extending his hand with a smile, "I accept your wager."

I grinned and shook his hand, "Bet."

We turned our attention back to Katsuki and Todoroki. Katsuki was standing in the middle of the quad, staring Todoroki down with a look that was way too serious for a simple game of tag. I couldn't see Todoroki's face, but I'm sure he wore a similar expression.

"Ready, ribbit?" Tsu called.

They each just gave a curt nod, without looking away from each other. Tsu set off the buzzer and Todoroki shot off towards Katsuki. Katsuki held his ground until Todoroki was almost right in front of him, then he smirked, before taking off and jumping up onto the nearest platform. He bounded from platform to platform, Todoroki right behind him, easily closing the distance, his longer legs giving him the edge. Katsuki seemed to realize this too, because he grabbed one of the bars and quickly sung himself down to the floor and around another platform. Todoroki, however, leaped up on the bar and used his momentum to propel himself towards the platform Katsuki was trying to skirt around. Todoroki landed on the platform with a roll, and sprung at Katsuki, grazing his arm just seconds before the buzzer went off.

"DAMNIT!" Katsuki let off a small explosion in his palm, facing away from everyone, before he turned back to Todoroki. He held out his opposite hand for Todoroki to shake. "Good match, I guess, Half-n-half Bastard," he grumbled.

Todoroki chuckled and shook his hand, then took his place in the quad as the evader for the next round, as Katsuki started walking towards Midoriya and I. Midoriya turned to me with a big, smug grin on his face and I groaned.

"Pay up," he said, holding his hand out. I dug the money out of my pocket and reluctantly passed it to Midoriya.

"Oi, Nerd! What the hell? You bet against me?" Katsuki barked.

"Aspiring heroes should not be gambling," Ida scolded. "I'm surprised at you Midoriya."

"W-well, I... I didn't see any harm in it. It was just a small wager between Kiri and I," Midoriya stammered, looking very uncomfortable.

"We're placing bets," Shinso asked, looking a little less tired than usual. "Why did no one tell me?"

Ida started to go off on Midoriya and Shinso again, and Katsuki started going off about how he couldn't believe Midoriya would bet against him, and I caught something about a 'Wonder Duo,' but I was already shaking my head and walking towards the starting platform.
