Sunday Morning June 27th

Bakugou's POV:

That DAMN nerd.

Fucking Deku.

I thought for sure when he came to my house on Friday, that he wanted to talk about AFO or OFA or becoming a hero duo. Then he got all weird and fidgety, like he does when he's uncomfortable, and he left when he realized Eijiro was also at my house. After taking the time to cool down, and really think about the way he was acting, I thought I knew what he wanted to talk about.

He said he 'got in his own head again.' So fucking troublesome. There are two ways this could go. I really hope I'm fucking wrong about both of them.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the doorbell. I stood from the couch, turning off the tv. I wasn't watching it anyways. I tossed the remote on the coffee table and walked to the front door. I took a few calming breaths. I was still angry as hell at Deku for going AWOL and making everyone worry again, but I didn't want to blow his face off as soon as I saw it.

And, as much as I hate to admit it, I know he had his reasons, but I'm so sick of feeling like I'm losing him. Time to make him talk.

I turned the door handle and pulled it, letting it swing open as I walked away, "You're early, Nerd."

Deku muttered something that sounded like "impossible to please" but I ignored him and kept walking. I heard him shut the door before he silently followed me through the house to the back door.

Neither of us spoke a word as I slid open the glass door and stepped outside. I walked through the backyard, past the barbeque pit, to the furthest corner of the yard. I turned to face him and he stopped a few feet away.

"You talk to Auntie?"

"Twice yesterday and I sent a text this morning," he replied flatly, taking a fighting stance.

"Good," I said, and immediately advanced on him. "No quirks."

I faked a right hook and attempted to take him by surprise with a left uppercut, but he expected it and tried to land a hard kick on my legs. I leapt away just in time. The fight continued like that for a while. We anticipated almost every move and we were able to rely on our sharpened reflexes for the moves we couldn't predict.

Nerd's getting too good. He's more focused today. I gotta do something.

Deku suddenly crouched, kicking out, attempting to sweep my feet out from under me. I jumped up and let gravity do the rest, landing a well-timed punch to the side of his head. His head only jolted to the side a fraction from the force. It should've laid him out. He squared his shoulders and smirked up at me.

This little shit.

I caught a brief spark of green electricity in his eyes, before he was on me, sending punches and kicks so quickly I could hardly keep up. He sent a right kick to my face and I caught his leg with both of my hands, but before I could do anything else, he spun the opposite direction ripping his leg from my grasp. Finishing an almost complete 360, he planted both feet on the ground and twisted his body hurling his left fist into the side of my face. It took me completely by surprise and black spots dotted my prereferral. I looked back up in time to see one of his shitty red shoes coming right at me, I crossed my arms in front of my face just in time, but the force still knocked me on my ass. I growled, prepared to jump back up on my feet, when I heard Deku huff. I looked up at him and watched as he released all the tension in his body and let his hands fall to his sides. He sat cross-legged on the ground, facing me.
