Monday July 5th

Kirishima's POV

Well, one thing's for certain. Our class is nosy as hell. I mean, I already knew that to some extent because Mina Ashido is one of my best friends, but damn it wasn't just her.

"Hey, Mido!" Kaminari shouted across the table in the cafeteria. "Why were you late this morning? Everything okay?"

"None of your fuckin business, Electro Dolt. Right, Deku?" Katsuki glared down the entire table.

"Yeah. Right." Midoriya spoke into his bowl of soba, moving the noodles around and not really eating.

"Hey, Nerd," Katsuki spoke so low I probably wouldn't have been able to hear him if I wasn't sitting directly beside him.

Midoriya looked up from his untouched meal, a sheen of sweat glistening around his hairline, his face pale, making his freckles stand out darker on his cheeks. Katsuki started gesturing with his hands, creating symbols and swoops through the hair, sometimes touching his own face, chest or arm. Midoriya's brow scrunched, he dropped his chopsticks and started answering with gestures of his own. It took me longer than I'm willing to admit to realize they were using sign language. After a few more signs from each of them, they stood from the table.

"Where-" I started.

"We'll see you back in class. Okay, Red?" Katsuki gave me a pointed stare and I nodded once before he followed Midoriya out of the cafeteria carrying both of their trays.

Todoroki slid into Katsuki's vacated seat beside me and situated the food on his own tray. He leaned in close before he spoke, "Where'd they go?"

"They didn't say." I answered, trying very hard not to look too long into those two-toned irises. "Probably just away from everyone's questions."

"Mm. Yeah. Our classmates are... very involved."

I snorted, "If you mean nosy as all hell, then yeah. They're extremely involved."

A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips, but he didn't say anything in return.

"Alright," Ashido dropped down in the chair across from me and smacked her palms on the table. "What the hell's going on with Midoriya?"
She pierced me with her black and yellow eyes.

"Sorry, Ash. It's not my place to say." She frowned and opened her mouth to say something else but Todoroki cut her off.

"Just please leave him be for now and he'll explain everything to the class as a whole in a few days."

Ashido's eyes flicked back and forth between me and Todoroki. "Fine, just-" her voice dropped and her expression shifted from angry to concerned and I realized our conversation held the attention of almost the entire class. "Is he okay?"

"Yeah," I said. "He's fine. He's a little overwhelmed and a lot tired with what's happening, but I promise everything's okay."

"And he'll tell us everything when he's ready, ribbit?" Tsu asked from further down the table.

"Yeah," Uraraka spoke from directly beside her. "He'll tell everyone as soon as he can."

Multiple heads nodded in compliance before everyone returned to their meals and individual conversations. Ashido didn't move.

"You sure you two aren't dating?" She smirked.

"Dating? Who?" I sputtered.

"Duh, you n Mido."

My face heated and I could feel beads of sweat forming on my forehead. "What? No. We're not."
Though I wouldn't mind that one bit.

"Uh-huh. I bet you know who he is dating then."
