Flashback: Thursday - end of class - final period June 24th
Midoriya's POV:
The final bell rang and I was trying to quickly shove things into my yellow backpack, so I could catch Kacchan before he had a chance to leave. A lot of our classmates had already dashed out the door as soon as the bell rang, impatient to start taking advantage of our three-day weekend.
"So Kacchan, what are your plans for the long weekend?" I asked standing from my desk.
"Tch, the Old Hag wants me to house-sit while she and the Old Man go on their dumb trip with Auntie Inko. I'm going to head straight there now, they want me to see them off or whatever." He rolled his eyes.
"Oh? Like you're not going to enjoy having the place to yourself for three days," I said chuckling.
"Heh! Yeah, you got a point, Nerd. I gotta admit, it'll be nice to chill around the house without the Old Hag being up my ass the whole time."
Kiri leaned over from the other side of Kacchan's desk, held a hand up and whispered something in his ear. I couldn't hear what he said, but Kacchan's eyes widened, and the tips of his ears turned red, He calmly and swiftly set off an explosion right in Kiri's face. Luckily Kiri hardened his skin right in time, but it was so sudden that it actually caught him by surprise, and the force of it knocked him on his rear.
He stood up laughing, "Come on, Blasty, you know that was funny!"
"Don't even fucking ask what he said, Deku," Kacchan growled walking towards the door.
"Okay, okay," I said, following him out into the hall, trying not to laugh. "I seriously want to know, but I won't ask. But hey, listen, are you doing anything in the morning? Would it be okay if I came by and talked to you about something? I'll bring breakfast."
"Don't know why you can't just fucking talk to me about it now, but yeah, I guess, whatever, Nerd. Bring breakfast burritos, but not the ones from that one place by the-"
"Yeah, yeah, I know Kacchan, they don't properly portion their ingredients, I KNOW," I said rolling my eyes and shaking my head.
Kacchan continued walking down the hallway, Kiri and I trailing behind him a little, while he loudly ranted about how to properly make breakfast burritos. Kiri and I exchanged knowing glances and eye rolls with each other until we reached the exit.
"See you in the morning, Kacchan! 7 okay?"
"Yeah, whatever. Just don't forget the flaming hot sauce, Nerd...Later, Hair-for-Brains," Kacchan gave us a backwards wave over his shoulder as he headed for the front gate.
"See ya, Bakubro," Kiri shouted.
"So, what are your plans for the weekend," I asked Kiri as we continued walking together towards the dorms.
"Oh, um, well...probably going to head over to Katsuki's later on, wanted to give him a chance to see his parents off before I go over to spar a bit. My mom is going to pick me up from his house later tonight. Going to spend the weekend with her since I haven't been home in a while."
When did Kirishima start calling Kacchan 'Katsuki'? I know they've been best friends since first year, but I didn't realize they were on a casual first-name basis like that. He usually calls him Bakubro or Blasty...
"I think it's great you're going to spend time with your mom, very manly," I chuckled, elbowing him in the side.
"Heh, yeah..." Kiri said as his cheeks turned red and he rubbed the back of his neck as we walked through the doors of the 3A dorm. "Anyways, see you later, Midobro," he waved as he dashed to the stairs.
