CHAPTER 23: MY BFF

You quickly grabbed your phone and saw there were lot of missed calls and text messages. You quickly opened them up to see that there were nearly 10 missed calls from Minho throughout the day. You were so busy that you did not even had the time to check on your phone. You quickly open your messages and there were some text message as well as voice messages.

"[Y/N], don't be sorry. I know you have things to take care as well"

"Are you busy?"

"[Y/N], it's ok, if you're busy :[ "

There were lot of texts from Minho. You smiled widely reading those texts. There were some voice messages as well."

"[Y/N] is everything ok? I've called you and you're not picking up"

"Call me as soon as you get these"

You were listening to all those voice messages. You played them and listened to them again and again. Even though those messages was by Minho it didn't sound as him. You were listening to the unfamiliar voice in those messages without paying attention to the messages he sent through it. The voice has changed a lot and it didn't sound as your best friend. You knew his voice clearly as you both spent your time together in most of the times. Of course who couldn't identify their best friend's voice?!!!

You quickly snapped out from your thoughts and made a call for Minho.
The phone was ringing and finally he picked it up.

"[Y/N]!" Minho's unfamiliar voice with a cheer spoke.

"Minho I was busy all the day and I am sorry I couldn't call you" You quickly apologized him.

"Aw....it's ok" Minho said with the unfamiliar voice.

You felt like your heart was ripping into pieces with his voice. He is not your Minho. The handsome boy who used to hang out with you and took care of you whenever you were down. You was swallowing by weird thoughts and sadness from his voice. You did not know much and your weak self was not able to figure out what was going on. But you knew that something was wrong. A tear rolled down from your cheeks.

"Mino" You spoke with a shaky voice.

There was a moment of silence before his response.

"Hum?" He said as a response.

"Wh.....What is going on?"

"[Y/N].....wh...why are you asking such a thing?"

"Minho yo...your vo... voice.....it's not the one I know. What is going on?"
There was a moment of silence again. With each second passing, your anxiety grew.

"[Y/N], It's true. My voice....my voice has changed I know it. But it's just because....it's because mm....sore throat. You don't need to worry. It will get better with the time. It's just getting worse because of my food habits and you know because of yelling stuffs........you know" He chuckled while saying those.

His voice was so calm but for some reason your mind kept refusing it. You believed him even though your mind wasn't ready.

"Are you sure you're ok?" You asked gripping your bed sheets tightly.
He let out a small giggle before speaking.

"Of course I am fine. You're getting scared even for little things. What are you going to do if something really bad happens to me, if you're acting like this?"

"Minho!!" You yelled at him with tears rolling down from your cheeks.
Minho chuckled from the other side of the phone.

You talked with Minho for about another 30 minutes before hanging up. You wanted to say so badly about Taemin to Minho but you didn't because from all the things that had happened, you hesitated to do it.

After talkig with Minho your heavy mood lightened up a bit. You went out from your bed and made a cup of Ramen for you as you was starving. While eating the Ramen, you switched on the TV and sat in front of it. As soon as you switched on it, Jungkook appeared in the TV.

"I LOVE YOU ARMYS"

He said along with the other members. Your heart skipped a beat hearing his words. You lost in his words without even your knowledge. His smile made you forget all of your problems. You wanted so badly to be with him but you knew you couldn't. Letting out a heavy sigh you switched off the TV and went to the bed.

You woke up early in the morning in the next day. After completing your morning routine you get readied to go to the university. You decided to take a walk to the university as there were lot in your mind. After a 15 minute walk you found yourself in the university with other students.

The day went as usually with you busy with your works. After a tiring morning you went to the café as you was starving. After getting the food you ordered you were eating it alone peacefully in a table at the corner of the café when Taemin suddenly appears in front of you.
