CHAPTER 36: UNEXPECTED

Jungkook's POV

I heard a girl crying from the other side of the phone. She couldn't even talk straightly due to the crying. She continued to stop her sentence in the middle of the talking to breath.

I didn't know what to do or what to say. I kept listening to what she is saying looking at the ground. As it was about Minho and [Y/N], I didn't feel any guilt for listening to the girl.

"Jungkook?"

[Y/N] came and I looked at her with a worried expression.

"Who?"

[Y/N] asked seeing my confused face.

I passed her the phone and the girl is still crying hard.

"Hello"

[Y/N] answered the phone.

End of Jungkook's POV

You saw Jungkook staring at the ground confusedly holding your phone near his ear, when you came near him.
"Who"

You asked Jungkook and instead of answering back he gave you, your phone.

You took the phone and looked at the caller's ID and it was an unknown ID.

"Hello" You answered while looking at Jungkook, who is still looking at you.

"[Y/N] you ungrateful......Wh...why are you doing this to Minho? He...he loves you so much. [Y/N], yo...you don't deserve him....you..." The girl spoke in between her cries.

You widened your eyes after recognizing the voice. The voice that built a huge wall within yourself. The voice that prevented you from doing what you liked. The voice who made you lost your confidence. The voice who made you lost yourself.

A tear rolled down from your eyes.

"R...Rachel" You stuttered.

Jungkook looked at you even more confusedly. He made you sit beside him.

"I hate you [Y/N]. I hate you so much. You don't deserve Minho. How can you be like this when he is suffering like this? Ah? [Y/N] speak you demon"

Rachel was crying hard and you was surprised to hear her like this. Plus you was confused about what Rachel was talking about Minho.

"Rachel calm down. Tell me what are you talking....."

"Calm down! [Y/N] are you insane? You may be able to calm down and live like normal, but I can't. I can't calm myself when Minho is like this. I...I love him so much and when he is suffering like this in front of my eyes I can't. I can't calm myself you ungrateful orphan!" Rachel yelled at you.

Rachel's word made you lost your breath. She is talking about Minho and the thought of him suffering made you go crazy.

"Su...suffering? Wh...Rachel wh...what's wrong with Minho?" You stuttered and tears started to roll down from your face.

Jungkook was looking at you confusedly and he started to get anxious with the every second passed. But he just kept looking at you, letting you to talk.

"Huh? What's wrong with Minho? [Y/N], are you a baby? Don't act. I'm so disgusted even to talk with you" Rachel kept throwing harsh words towards you.

You had enough and you wanted to know what's wrong with Minho.

"Rachel! Tell me what's wrong with him!" You yelled at her.

Jungkook was surprised with your actions but let you spoke.

"Yo..you really don't know? [Y/N], you really don't know that he is suffering from a cancer?"

Rachel's words made your whole world collapse. Your heart stopped beating and you lost your breath. You just stared at the ground. Those words came out from Rachel's mouth was so hard that you didn't even cry.

"[Y/N]?" Jungkook spoke seeing your sudden change while holding your hand.

"Rachel....a...are you telling me the truth?" You asked after a silence.

"[Y//N]...You actually don't know? Didn't he tell you about this? Minho...Minho is suffering from a cancer in his throat. He has been suffering for a long time" Rachel spoke while crying.

"No...no it can't...it can't be happen. Minho....Minho can't......" You stopped talking and broke into tears. Your phone fell from your hand onto ground.

Jungkook widened his eyes seeing you crying and he quickly came and took you into his embrace. He picked your phone and started speaking.

"Who..."

"[Y/N]....Minho....Minho is suffering so badly. Please...please come back. He needs you. He loves you so much and please [Y/N]....I can't do this anymore. I'm dying with the each second passing. I can't bring myself for seeing him like this. Yo...you know how he used to be like. Our Minho......our friend...school's crush.... The person who used to cheer us...the person who used to cheer YOU...... Seeing him like this....seeing my love like this...it breaks my heart [Y/N]. Pl...please come back...we need you" Jungkook's eyes grew wider hearing the girl's words.

"Minho has been suffering?"

Millions of thought came to his mind.

You could hear Rachel's every word. Hearing her words made your heart broke into million pieces. You cried even more in Jungkook's embrace.

Rachel declined the call and Jungkook was still lost in what she just said. He couldn't believe what's happening.

"Ju...Jungkook....Jungkook, Minho...Minho is suffering from a cancer" You told Jungkook while crying loudly.

Jungkook looked at you who is still in his embrace and crying loudly in his chest. He did not know how to react. He was shocked by this sudden words. He kept staring at the front and made the grip around you even tighter. A tear started to roll down from his eyes.
