Part 87: Bittersweet

Bakugo barely had time to recover from Kurogiri warping him before the last 2 Bullets attacked.

It was Hojo and Tabe, the crystal user and "eater" guy.

Aizawa was encircled in crystal immediately before he even could get up, to keep him from seeing them, so he couldn't block their quirks.

The crystal began to grow up over his head.

Aizawa struggled to climb out of it using his scarf, but the crystal began to shred through it.

Hojo threw more crystal at Bakugo, who blasted it away, but it was obvious that this wasn't a good match up for him. Not if he was already weakened from the other guy.

Yet he thought that he and Miss Joke could take these guys.

Tabe jumped right at her, mouth open, and she hit him with her quirk ,and he began laughing hysterically...but of course he couldn't bite anything while he was laughing.

Miss Joke frowned at him as he fell over, since he couldn't breathe either.

Tabe tried to go after her, and Bakugo blasted his crystal away again.

Aizawa now was trying to use a final part of his scarf to reach the top of the wall and start trying to climb out of it.

He saw Mirko trapped in the force field, still pounding away at it while Tengei watched them all placidly.

He'd be outnumbered. Aizawa got higher and activated his quirk.

Mirko found herself free so quickly, she accidentally smacked Tengei before he even knew his shield was gone.

Then she kicked him harder till he passed out.

Tabe threw crystal at her, and she jumped over it.

He looked stressed.

Then Aizawa had his quirk erased also.

Bakugo blasted him before Mirko could even hit him.

"Hey, I had that!" She got mad. 

"No, I had it." Bakugo didn't like her trying to win steal.

"Maybe you should stay in your lane, junior." She frowned at him.

"Maybe you should back off, Grandma," he said.

"What the h--- did you just call me?" She made a fist.

"Bakugo!" Aizawa said. "Enough. One of you get me out of here."

Bakugo blasted the crystal to shreds, and he dropped free.

Tabe was crawling to Miss Joke, not actually passing out as fast as she'd hoped. Maybe he was used to not breathing for very long periods of time. He was still laughing, but lurching at her like he might sink his teeth into her at any moment.

Miss Joke didn't want to hit him in case he grabbed her limb.

She looked around and grabbed one of the crystals and threw it at him, stopping her quirk.

"Don't get too close to her. The laughing can be contagious," Aizawa warned Bakugo and Mirko. "Get him."

Tabe chomped through the crystal like it was nothing and then lunged at Joke again.

Bakugo blasted him, and he went flying.

Miss Joke let out a sigh.

"Are you okay?" Aizawa wasn't sure how much the life-draining quirk was still affecting her. Her quirk took more effort than his did...but all of them were tired.
