"Dean!!!!" Sydney screamed as she flung herself at him. She gave him the biggest hug she could muster. "What happened, i thought you were, oh my god, you're here, but you're hurt" she said touching his arm in a sling.
"Well, your ex packed a heavy punch and knocked me off the platform at the train station" he said as they walked downstairs and sat at the table. "I broke my arm trying to catch myself"
"Dean, im so so sorry" she said as tears welled up and streamed down her face. "I never ment for any of this to happen, i should have never have dragged you in to this"
"Sydney, I'm fine" Dean said wiping away her tears. "I just had to have a minor surgery when they took me to the hospital and they told me not to travel. And i didnt wanna take the chance that he followed me looking for you"
"You mean they didn't arrest him!" Sydney said, furious.
"He was gone before the cops got there, they searched for him for days after but said he might have fled the city" Dean said.
Just then Rose came in the front door, pulling 2 dogs in behind her on leashes.
"Ahhh, you brought the dogs!" Sydney said running excitedly to them.
"I dont move out of state without them" Dean explained.
Sydney stopped dead. "Move! What do you mean, you moved!?"
"I'm gonna come with you Sydney, at least until they catch him and put him in prison. It's what your Mom would want." Dean said.
"I cant ask you to do that Dean, you've already put your life in danger once, i refuse to let you do it again" Sydney said firmly.
"Well, if you don't, im gonna be homeless, seeing as how i have already sold my apartment in Manhattan" Dean said with a smirk. "So you kinda have no choice, Syd"
"Ahh, come on mate, he is only trying to help, he is a nice guy like that" Rose chimed in in Dean's defense.
"I really dont like this at all, Dean" Sydney said, shaking her head.
"I know, thats why i did it this way, i took the choice away" Dean said with a chuckle. "Come on, kid, lets go find us an apartment so Rose here can have her house back"
"Have rather enjoyed the company actually, she is a nice party buddy" Rose said with a wink.
Sydney just rolled her eyes, shook her head and laughed "No, just no"
