A month had gone by, and Sydney realized she had never really seen the city.

"How long have you lived here? Maybe you could take me on a tour of the city one day" Sydney asked Dean as she prepared dinner for the two of them.

"Well, when I met your mom I really started to get into poetry and music. When my dad got transferred when I was 16, we moved to Tennessee. I really got in to the music scene down there, and when I was 20 I picked up and moved here to Manhattan on a whim" Dean said.

"Must have been pretty exciting" Sydney said as she put the noodles in the pot.

"It was for the first few months. I started dating this girl, Nicole, a few months after I got here. She turned out to be a real but job. She had an obsession with my hair, it was weird" Dean said with a laugh.

"Hair!? What hair!?" Sydney said looking at his military style buzz cut.

Dean gave her a smile with a chuckle. "Back then I had a full head of hair, all I had to do was run my hands through it and make all the pretty ladies swoon" He said as he mimicked running his hand through his not there hair.

Sydney laughed as she poured sauce over the cooked hamburger. "Do you want me to make garlic bread?" She said, stirring the sauce.

"Yep, boy, am I glad you moved in" he said as he clicked on the tv. "Tv dinners were beginning to get old" Dean said.

"I bet" Sydney said as she poured the sauce over the noodles. "Spaghetti is done, give me a minute to cook up the garlic bread"

"I'm gonna take the dogs out for a quick bathroom break before dinner I'll be back in a few" Dean said as he put leases on the dogs.

"Be careful. Don't get mugged" she said to him with a smile.

"Oh ha ha" Dean said as he walked out the door.

Sydney went to finishing dinner when her phone rang. She hurried to get to her room and picked it up.

Unavailable. Huh all my friends have names

"Hello" she said.

"I know where you are, and I will find you" th voice said.

"Ja.. ja.. John" Sydney studdered out. "Is that you"

"Well, looky there, still smart as a tack, ain't cha baby." John said. "You should have never left me the way you did, sweetheart. You made me do something, something I didn't wanna do"

"John, what did you do?" Sydney barely got out through the tears.

A cackling laugh came over the phone. "I'm sure you'll find out soon enough" John said.

"Why can't you just leave me alone John!! I've done nothing to deserve this!" Sydney said raising her voice.

"Oh. But baby you did, see.." John had sent her a picture message, a big scar on the side of his neck. "You remember that? Do you Sydney!!" John said angrily.

"You had me tied up in a basement for over a month John, what the hell was I supposed to do!" Sydney yelled.

"I'll find you Sydney, and when I do, you will regret the day you were ever born" John said as he ended the call.

Sydney dropped her phone to the floor. Bawling her eyes out

How did he find me! I haven't contacted anyone except.. except..

Sydney heard Dean come through the door. "Sydney!!!" Dean screamed with a panicked voice. The house was full of smoke, she had completely forgotten all about the garlic bread in the oven.

Dean found her sobbing on her bed. "Oh my god Sydney, are you ok, I seen the smoke coming out of the window from the street, what happened" Dean said sitting next to her putting his hand on her back.

"He..... He....." Sydney stumbled to get the words out.

"He what Sydney? Who are you talking about" Dean asked with a puzzled looked.

"He found me" Sydney finally got out.

"He? Who is he and what do you mean he found you" Dean questioned.

"John"
