Sydney finished up her phone call with her mom and sister. She pushed end and sat there sobbing, but with a smile.

"Thank you for making me do that, even if part of me wishes I hadn't" Sydney said, thinking of her father.

"I'm so sorry, Sydney. That's a horrible way to have to find out you lost your father" Dean said as he pulled her in for another hug.

"I don't know what I would have done had you not been here for me" Sydney said.

"Anytime" Dean said.

"I can't believe my Dad is gone, it just doesn't seem real" Sydney said.

"Let's go out for dinner, we have a lot to talk about" Dean said

"Dean, I can't go out, John said he knows  where I am, we will find me, it's only a matter of time" Sydney said.

"I'm not gonna let you out of my sight, you don't need to be afraid" Dean tried to reassure her.

"I don't know Dean, he terrifies me, you don't know what he is capable of" Sydney said with a worried look.

"And he doesn't know what I'm capable of" Dean said with a smile, trying to reassure her.

"Ok, where to" Sydney finally gave in.

"Anywhere you like" Dean said "Let's make it memoriable, money doesn't matter"

"Are you sure?" Sydney questioned

"Positive" Dean said.

"Well, I've been wanting to go to The Brindle Room" Sydney said.

"Brindle Room it is, let's get ready" Dean said.

Sydney and Dean went to the Brindle Room for dinner. Sydney was cautious of ever man she came in contact with.

"So, before, you said you did something for me, that's why you wanted me to call my Mom, what did you mean" Sydney said as she took a bite of her bacon cheddar burger.

"Well. Sydney, if your he'll bent on running again. I've made a few calls, I have friends in a few major cities in the country. Pick one" Dean said taking a bite of his own bourbon burger.

"Pick one? What do you mean, pick one?" Sydney said sticking a french fry in her mouth.

"I've got some money saved up, it's enough for a train or a bus ticket and an apartment. Enough for a few months rent until you find a job."

This man truly is amazing.

Sydney started to cry. "I've never had someone help me like this before, I don't know what to say"

"Say you'll take the money"

"Thank you so much Dean, I don't know how I'll ever repay you" Sydney said taking his hand into hers.

"It's nothing, I dont have any kids to spend all my money on" he said with a smile as he put his hand over hers.

They finished their dinner and headed home. When they got there, the door was ajar. Sydney started to panic.

"Get behind me" Dean said as he went to walk in their apartment. "Someone broke in, the latch is broke"

Sydney felt her stomach drop. It's John, he found me

Dean and Sydney walked through the house together, there was no one there. Dean went to close the front door when someone stopped the door.

"Hey Dean! I caught your dogs" the man said handing Dean Bruno and Sam.  "They ran out when your friend came out awhile ago"

"My friend? What did they look like" Dean questioned his neighbor.

"A man, tall, dark hair. Said he was a friend of your roommates" the man said.

Dean heard Sydney gasp behind him. "Thanks Phil, I appreciate you catching the dogs, have a good night" Dean said shutting the door.

"It was him wasn't it?" Dean questioned Sydney.

"Yeah, it was John" Sydney said crying.

She hurried to her room, her things were all over the floor, her clothes torn to shreds, book pages torn out all over the floor, and the only picture she carried with her, a picture of her and her family at Christmas, was stuck to the wall.

A knife stuck straight through her neck.
