Sydney didn't know what to do. She could see Dean on the other side of the station at the ticket counter. She couldn't yell for him, John would kill her. No one walking past seemed to notice anything.
"John, ok, just calm down" Sydney said as John grabbed her by her hair. "We can work this out"
"Isnt that what you said right before you did this...." John said as he spun her around and pulled is shirt down, exposing his neck.
"You are gonna wish you had never been born by the time I get done with you, Syd" John said as he nudged the knife closer to her neck. "This little present you left me, it's nothing compared to what your gonna get"
Sydney began to panic. She knew that if she yelled for help he would kill her instantly.
If he is brave enough to come at me I a crowd of people, who's to tell what he would do. And all these innocent people.
Sydney shook her head, shaking off the thought. John had really gone off the deep end.
"What do you want me to do, John?" Sydney asked.
"I want you to bleed" John said as he pushed the tip of his knife in to her neck. "Walk" John said nudging her to move.
Sydney walked wherever John wanted her to, she tried to keep her eyes locked on Dean, but she lost him in the crowd.
They walked past the bathrooms and John finally sat her down on a bench between 2 trash cans. "You have been a hard girl to track down, Syd." John said pushing the knife into her side as he held her hand. "I called your house a few times"
"You did?" Sydney played dumb.
"Yeah, your parents, they acted like they didn't know where you were" John said laughing
"They didn't, John. I haven't spoken to them since I left" Sydney said.
"Oh, really. So that wasn't you that called and hung up, that's how I found you, you know" John said with a smile.
Sydney felt her stomach fall.
"You know, I'm real sorry to hear about your Dad, Syd. But now I guess you know what it's like to lose a parent" John said looking her in her face with a stern look.
"You... You did that!?" Sydney started to raise her voice. "John, you killed my father!!"
Sydney tried to stand up, tried to slap him, kick him, anything she could do.
"You damn right I did that, Sydney. I wanted you to know how it felt to lose someone you loved" John grunted into her ear. "Now calm the hell down, or you'll be next"
"Why, John. How" Sydney questioned.
"Simple, I found some drunk at the local bar and stuck him behind the wheel. I figured you would at least come back for the funeral, but when you didn't show, I knew I had to find you another way" John said as he pushed Sydney to stand. "Now, let's go"
"Where are we going" Sydney asked.
"Shut up and walk" John replied
John pushed Sydney toward the exit. she looked back to the ticket counter, Dean wasn't there. He was probably looking for her. She hated that she had drug him into all of this. He had been nothing but nice to her.
"Where we goin, John" Sydney said.
"Youll find out when we get......"
Someone rushed John. Pushed him to the ground.
"Run!!!" Dean said.
Sydney ran. She ran to the train, got on just as it was pulling out of the station. she watched as John and Dean fought. Each exchanging punches. Pushing and pulling each other. Then she watched it horror, as John shoved Dean, hard and knocked him off the platform and onto the track.
