~Jamie's POV~

Today is the day that Mr. Valler and I bury my second mom, I looked down at her beautiful face. I saw that she was wearing her favorite black dress with mid length sleeves and black high heels. Her dress looks similar to mine, probably because we got them at the same time. I knew that she would want me to wear it with my flats. I looked into the casket once again before Bob came next to me taking my hand in his. Since the ceremony had already happened, he and I are just watching as they close the casket carrying her out to the hearse. Bob and I followed them out heading to the car, I buckled myself in and we started our slow drive to the cemetery. I looked out the window with tears in my eyes, I looked at Bob before the silence broke.

"You okay sweetie, I know that this affects you as much as it affects me, if not more. If you want when we get home you can just sit in your room. She left her jewelry and clothes to you, if you want I'll help you go through it a little later?"

I looked at him with a small nod.

"If you want, we don't have to do anything that you're not ready for, you know her more than I ever would. It does affect me, but it'll never affect me as much as it affects you, you're her husband. You knew each other better than you knew yourselves, believe me, it affects you the most."

He gave me a small sad smile.

"Alright Sweetie, then tonight, after brunch, we'll go through her things. I'll let you choose anything you want, and the things that you don't we can give to the goodwill. Deal?"

"Sure."

He focused back on the road and we soon pulled into the cemetery. We stood next to the hole in the ground, tears slowly sliding down my cheeks as Bob pulled me into his side. I moved out of his hold and threw a single lily on her casket, as did Bob before he came back to me wrapping his arms around me as we cried together. When the service was over we all went back to the house, we had coffee and cried a bit. I sat in the corner with small tears sliding down my face until Bob came over and sat next to me. He looked down at me with his kind sad bloodshot blue eyes.

"I'm gonna ask everyone to leave, if you wanna go upstairs and change your clothes, we can start going through your mom's things."

I nodded my head standing from my spot walking upstairs and pulling on a pair of shorts, and a T-shirt. I sat there until Bob walked into my room with a sad smile as he looked at me.

"Are you ready?"

I nodded my head as he and I walked into Mom and his room. We sat there laughing and having fun talking about all the fun that we had with mom. After a while we came to her wedding dress, Bob pulled the dress from the box.

"Would you like to keep this under your bed, maybe you can wear it someday, I know that Angie would've loved that."

I smiled nodding my head.

"Yeah, and to be honest I would too. Thank you Dad."

He smiled as we continued to move the boxes with mom's things into my room so I could go through them. I put the jewelry boxes on my dresser and stacked the boxes by my closet until I gave Bob a hug good night. I locked my door and fell into a deep peaceful sleep hoping that not too much would change in the next few days.

~Jamie's POV(Truths)~

I woke up this morning and walked down stairs to see Bob sitting at the kitchen table with a bottle of Jack in his hands, he looked at me.

"Come here Jamie, I wanna talk to you."

The way he said my name sent nervous shivers down my spin, as I slowly yet hesitantly walked towards him. I stopped a few feet away from him, he grabbed my arm tightly pulling me towards him with his jaw clenched.

"When I say come here, you come, do you understand me, it's the least you could do after you stole my wife from me you little bitch."

"What?"

I asked with tears in my eyes at not only the pain in my arm, but the pain in my heart at the words that were being spat at me. I shook my head at the drunken man that I once called family, he looked at me with hatred in his eyes.

"Don't act dumb you little bitch, ever since she brought you home you were all she could talk about. She didn't want anything to fucking do with me and it's all your fault. I don't want to see you out of that room unless it's to walk to school and come home, do you understand me..."

I nodded my head as he continued.

"I know she gave you all kinds of things in that room, I'll restock it once a week until you get your own job. Until then keep your hideous face out of my sight, otherwise you just might have a little accident, do you understand me?..."

I nodded my head once again and he pulled me closer to him. His alcohol breath filling my nose, before he continued.

"Do you understand me?! You answer me you little bitch."

"Yes, Sir."

"That's what I thought, now get the hell out of my sight."

When he let go of me, he shoved me to the floor, I crawled up the stairs and into my room. I locked the door behind me before crawling into a ball as I let the tears slide down my face. I looked around the room until my eyes landed on a picture frame with a picture of mom and I only to realize that she was right about Mr. Valler. I could never thank her enough for the warning that she gave to me, she saved my life.
