~Hermione's POV~
It's been three months since the incident on the train and since Sirius and I's fight and to be perfectly honest things haven't been the same between us since then. When it comes to my pregnancy everything has been perfect, the baby is healthy and even with all the stress I've been under, everything is just fine. It's kind of crazy how even with everything that's happened, I mean the wedding, honeymoon, Dementors, and the fight's my baby is perfectly healthy, I couldn't ask for anything more. As far as Sirius and I go we've hardly talked since our fight, the most I've been doing is going to class, eating of course, and reading. Sirius doesn't talk to me, hell he hardly looks at me, I miss him but in this case I was right, I mean how many times has he risked his life for me, but when I do it I get yelled at and called stupid. I was pulled from my thoughts by Sirius's shadow blocking the light from the fire and making it hard for me to see the words on the page of my book. I looked up at him giving him a small sad smile before closing my book, I let out a sigh shaking my head.
"If you wish to irritate me please continue to stand there, but if you have something you wish to say please be my guest."
He shook his head letting out a rough irritated sigh, I shook my head standing up and going to walk down the hall to our room. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me back into his chest, crashing his lips to mine, I fought for a moment before leaning into the kiss dropping my book. My arms wrapped around his neck, my fingers tangling in his hair, he pulled me as close to him as possible with my new round belly getting in the way a bit. We pulled away, looking into each other's eyes, I leaned my forehead on his chest closing my eyes relaxing in the comfort of his arms. He kissed the top of my head and I looked up at him, he gave me a small sad smile before pulling away from me a bit more but never letting me go.
"I'm sorry Hermione, I miss you, and I love you, you just scare me because I don't know what I would do if anything happened to you. Granted I'd be with you but the initial shock and pain of watching or knowing that your gone would be enough to kill me in the vow didn't."
I let out a sigh nodding my head.
"I know, it's just difficult for me, I do certain things because I love you, and to protect you. Sirius you spent most of our relationship saving my ass from my psycho ex, and you deserved to be protected and saved for once. On that train I did what I did because I know how those Dementors affect you, I just want you to be happy and not worry about the next time you'll feel that pain. Do you understand now? at least a little bit more as to why I did what I did, it was because I love you and to me you're worth it, like to you I'm worth it."
He nodded his head.
"I get it, just please stop scaring me so much."
I laughed a little, nodding my head.
"Alright, I'll try."
He smiled pulling me back into his chest, and I looked up into his eyes.
"I love you Sirius black, I love you with all my heart."
He smiled leaning his forehead against mine.
"And I love you Hermione black, I love you with all my heart."
The rest of the night he and I sat on the couch holding each other wrapped up in our happiness, until the door opened and Minerva walked in. She was in absolute hysterics, I looked at her before standing up, and taking her by the arms, she looked into my eyes.
"You remember Bellatrix Lestrange right?"
"Yeah, Molly Weasely killed her during the war."
She shook her head and Sirius stood up.
"That's who was controlling the Dementors, Molly didn't kill her, she sent her back to Azkaban and she broke out. Now she's on a mission to kill you, Sirius, everyone who was against Voldemort, she wishes to raise him again."
I looked at Sirius, before looking back at Minerva.
"How do we stop her?"
"As far as I know she's either going to Sirius and your place, or here."
I looked at Sirius.
"It looks like we're going home tomorrow, if she's not here by then, then we'll go home and see if she was actually dumb enough to go there."
He shook his head and I looked at Minerva.
"Thank you Minerva, have a somewhat good evening."
She nodded her head and walked out of the room, I looked at Sirius and he shook his head at me.
"You're not going tomorrow."
"To hell I'm not, I don't care what you think or don't think, I'm going and you're not going to stop me."
"Want to bet."
I looked at him and shook my head.
"You're not going alone, and that's all there is to it."
"Hermione, the last time you saw her, and were somewhat alone with her she carved the word Mud blood into your arm. You're staying here and that's final, I'm not putting you in that kind of danger, not to mention she's my deranged cousin."
"I don't care what she is to you, and I need this Sirius, I need her to know that I may be a Mud blood but I'm the best that's ever lived and no matter what she does she's not going to end me."
He nodded his head and I knew that I had one this one.
"Alright, but you do exactly as I say do you understand me."
I nodded my head knowing that in the moment things will be different, that night was the first night in a long time that I actually slept. It wasn't because the baby was calm for once, or because I was too hot or too cold, it was because I was in his arms feeling safer than ever. He and I may have a huge fight ahead of us tomorrow, but that doesn't matter, as long as we have each other we can and we will survive anything this life has to throw at us.
