Heeyeon's POV
I knock on the door of the house. A familiar face opens the door. He catches me by surprise, I didn't expect to see him. And I don't want him to see me like this. The boy is Jisung. I've had a small crush on him for a while now. Ever since I changed schools, he's had my attention. He's never noticed me though, and now he sees me in my work uniform. This is so embarrassing! "Here's your pizza!" I say hurriedly, shoving his pizza at him.
He says thanks and I start walking to my car. "Who are you?" He calls out to me from the door. "The pizza girl" I respond with a wink. Ugh, what the heck? Why did I say that? The pizza girl, really? And why did I wink?! I immediately facepalm when I get into my car. I hope I meet him again, at a better time, of course.
I make my way back to the pizza place to close up. I only volunteered to deliver tonight because I need the extra money. My mom let me live here alone, she couldn't come because of work. She pays my rent so I have to work for any extra spending money. Now I know that sounds crazy, but it was crucial for me to get away.
While I do enjoy the feeling of independence, it does get lonely. I have friends at school but I only trust one person with my address so far, and he's busy tonight. So I decide to just shower and relax before my shift tomorrow. As I'm relaxing, my mind is bombarded with thoughts of Jisung.
The main reason I like Jisung is because he is everything my ex was not. My ex was a terrible person. Jisung is gentle, awkward, and he has a kind heart. He still has this innocent atmosphere about him. Even though we're the same age, it feels like he's so young. Jisung's best friend is a girl, so he must know how to treat a lady right. I don't know him that well and I've never spoken to him, but I've seen the way people light up when he comes around. He's just so pure, and his smile is contagious.
I've always admired him from afar. I'm too nervous to talk to him. We have lunch together, so that would be a perfect opportunity to talk to him, but he always seems so engrossed in his conversations with Donghyuck. Also, why risk embarrassment? If it's meant to be, he'll find me. If not, oh well. I do have a few classes with Jisung and I have a class with his best friend, Anjae. Anjae seems very nice and I can see why she and Jisung get along. I've never spoken to Anjae either. Maybe I should?
