"Hee," her childhood friend calls her name. As she turns to look at him, she notices his serious expression. "I know you like Jisung and I can tell that he likes you, but I don't want to see you hurt again."

"I'm not saying I think Jisung will hurt you, but I know that he recently got out of a bad relationship too. Hurt people, hurt people, you know? Just don't rush anything, okay? I care about both of you too much to let you do that."

Heeyeon wants to tease him because he's rarely ever like this, but she knows what he's saying is true. "It's okay Lele, I'm a big girl now." She says reminding the older boy.

Chenle has always been protective of Heeyeon since they were little. When he learned why Heeyeon had to move away...Chenle was 35 hot.

He only trusts Jisung with Heeyeon because he's known Jisung for a while. Jisung has never given Chenle a reason to doubt him and his intentions are always pure.

"Thank you." She says giving him a big hug. He smiles, then ruffles her hair, snapping her out of the loving moment. "Lele!" She shouts trying to fix her hair. Jisung will be arriving any minute and he just messed up her hair.

As Heeyeon runs to the bathroom to fix the mess Chenle made on her head, with perfect timing Jisung rings the doorbell to her apartment. She lets out a yelp and hurries to put her hair back in place.

Chenle just lets out a chuckle at the younger girl and gets up to open the door. He invites the doe-eyed boy inside. "Are you here to get help too, Chenle?" He asks innocently.

"No, I'm here to supervise you lovebirds." Heeyeon walks in and rolls her eyes at his statement. "You're barely a year older than us." She mutters not expecting him to hear her. "Still older" Chenle remarks. Heeyeon doesn't retort, she averts her attention to the other boy in the room.

"Hi, Jisung. Are you ready to get started?"

After some very hardcore studying (according to Jisung. This was a light session for Heeyeon.), they decide to take a break. Jisung takes this opportunity to ask the question that's been burning at the back of his mind.

"If you don't mind me asking, where are your parents?" He tried thinking of different ways to word it so that it wouldn't sound as harsh but his attempt was futile. "I'm sorry." He apologizes before she even says anything.

Heeyeon could tell that he was genuinely concerned and not just being nosey. "My mom still lives in my hometown, and my dad...haven't seen him since I was three." She answered his question. "I live here alone."

Jisung wants to ask why but he feels as though he's asked enough. He saw the way Heeyeon's expression dropped for a split second. Even though she's trying her hardest to hide it, Jisung can see the pain in her eyes. He recognized that look all too well. Anjae has the same look in her eyes whenever her dad is brought up.

While the two were just sitting there in silence not sure of what to say next, Chenle came to the table. The pair sitting there assume he heard the conversation based on the way he gave Heeyeon a light squeeze and Jisung a pat on the shoulder.

"Alright kids, let's lighten the mood." He suggests grabbing some ice cream from Heeyeon's freezer. Jisung and Heeyeon give each other reassuring smiles and join Chenle in the kitchen.

Simultaneously, Jisung and Heeyeon reach for the same flavor of ice cream. Chenle has the urge to pull Jisung away from Heeyeon because he knows what happened last time he did that. He's shocked as she tells Jisung he can have that one.

"But when that was me, you popped my hand until I let it go." Chenle huffs. "Maybe because you did it on purpose? Jisung doesn't know that's my favorite."

"Oh really? This is my favorite too, we can split it then!" Jisung beams. Heeyeon finds it funny that he's completely oblivious to the feelings he invokes in her. "Cool." She smiles to herself.

As they're walking into the living room, Jisung grabs Heeyeon's hand gently to stop her from walking away. "I just wanted to say sorry for earlier if I overstepped." She looks up into his innocent eyes, something about those eyes...

"Don't worry about it, Jisung. It's not something I necessarily enjoy talking about, but it's not a big deal either." Her vision averts downward to their hands, still connected. She smiles a little before meeting his eyes again, a million butterflies filling her stomach.

Jisung absentmindedly grabbed her hand and forgot to let go. They'd been holding hands for five minutes but to Heeyeon it felt like forever. Heeyeon used their connected hands to lead him to the couch. They sit next to each other but are quickly interrupted by Chenle.

He walks over to the couch and threatens to sit on their hands. They pull away, allowing him to claim his spot between them. He smugly wraps his arms around each of their shoulders, earning a deathly glare from Heeyeon. All the while, Jisung is just twiddling his thumbs in silence.

The awkward silence is broken by the sound of the Netflix application opening on the TV. The three friends decide on a movie to watch, but inevitably end up falling asleep. Heeyeon stirs slightly at the sound of a...camera?

She opens her eyes to see Chenle standing there holding his phone in the air. She then looks to see the boy she has been using as a human pillow, and she's surprised to see Jisung who is fast asleep.

"Chenle...?" The boy is startled because he thought she was still asleep. "Hee! You scared me!" He shouts, making Jisung's limp body jolt awake. "What's going on?" He rubs his eyes in an attempt to rub the sleep away. "I'm trying to figure that out too...I think Lele here, was taking pictures of us." Heeyeon and Jisung both stare at Chenle, waiting for his response.

He breaks under the pressure of their eyes on him. "Fine, I'm guilty! But you and Ji looked so cute!!" Jisung blushes at this. Heeyeon hides her blush by getting up to smack Chenle's arm. "I was sleeping so nicely" she complained. "I bet you were." He remarked under his breath.

Jisung let out a small chuckle at his friends in front of him, before getting up from the couch. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and read the time. It was 9 pm. "Alright guys, I'm gonna head out. I'll see you tomorrow." Chenle and Heeyeon bid him goodnight.

As soon as they hear Jisung's car start, Chenle and Heeyeon start squealing like little girls swooning over a cute boy...how ironic?
