The next day at school, Jisung is bombarded by a girl while he's at his locker. "Jisungie, why are you ignoring me?" She whined in a failed attempt to sound cute. Jisung cringed so hard at the nickname. "I tried to call you, why didn't you answer?"

The boy just pretends he can't hear her and continues to grab his books for class. "Heyyyy, I'm talking to you Sungie. Pleaseee talk to me!" She starts to make a scene. Jisung shoots her a death glare. He has always been very meek so Chae was surprised at the sudden change in atmosphere.

"Why should I?" He asks, freeing his hands by placing his backpack down. He stood up tall and straightened his posture, looking down on the girl with his hands on his hips. Chae begins to feel nervous.

"I asked you a question." He states coldly. "Why do you deserve any of my time?"

"Well, I-I wanted to ask i-if you wanted to hang out or t-talk about what happened-"

"Oh, so now you wanna talk? After all of these months, do you want to talk to me now? That doesn't make any sense Chae," he says her name spitefully. "You're little boyfriend must have broken up with you. Can't say I feel sorry for you."

Jisung has a habit of letting his mouth run loose when he's upset. He hurt his best friend before because of this. But now, at this moment, he didn't care what he said. She deserved every bit of it.

"Jisung...I want you back." She mumbles. Jisung can't believe the words that just came out of her mouth. "Why? So you can hurt me again? Hmm? So you can cheat on me again? Just so you know, Anjae's ready for a round two if that's what you want."

Jisung's tone was surprisingly calm. He wasn't getting worked up or making a scene. His deep voice, low enough for her to hear. His face was emotionless. "I'm upset that you cheated, but the thing that ticks me off, even more, is the fact that you wasted my time."

Chae didn't even know what to say other than "sorry". "It's too late for that. You wasted all of that time, and now all of a sudden you're "sorry"."

"I've moved on, and I suggest you do the same." His vision flickers to the girl walking up the stairs behind Chae. He raises his hand and beckons her over. Chae studies the girl in front of her. She's slightly shorter than Chae. Where Chae stops at Jisung's shoulder, Heeyeon stops at his chest.

Jisung wraps his arm around Heeyeon and pulls her closer to him, not breaking eye contact with Chae. "If you'd kindly leave me alone please, I'd appreciate it."

"Is she your new girlfriend?" Chae challenges. Without a moment of hesitation, Jisung confirms. "Yeah, she's my girlfriend." Heeyeon is shocked but she keeps a poker face. Chae scoffs and walks away. She turns to spare one more glance at Jisung and to glare at Heeyeon but the pair are too busy looking at each other to notice.

"Umm..." Jisung begins. "We'll talk about it later." Heeyeon says and walks away, leaving Jisung confused. Her tone was unreadable and so was her facial expression. He facepalms, before picking up his backpack and walking to class.

"Dude, I think I messed up." Jisung says.

"How so?" Chenle asks.

"I may have just claimed that Heeyeon was my girlfriend...in front of her...without asking" Jisung admits. "You did what?!" Chenle exclaims, nearly choking on his water. "Why?"

Jisung tells Chenle about what happened with Chae. "I tried to talk to Heeyeon after it happened, but she cut me off and said we'd talk about it later." He explained. "But she didn't sound angry and she didn't really sound happy...so I don't know what to think."

"Well first, calm down. Second, she said you'd talk about it later. Heeyeon isn't the type of person to just have important conversations on the spot. She likes to think them all the way through. That's probably what she's doing since you caught her off guard. She just needs time to think."

"Don't worry too much about it but let me ask you something." Jisung nodded. "How do you feel about what happened?"

"I probably shouldn't have done that without her permission. I want to apologize to her." Jisung says sincerely.

"Jisung, how do you feel about Heeyeon?"

The question surprised him but he was ready to answer it. "I like her. But it's more than just a like. Being with her makes everything fun, even studying. She's so cute when she's excited and I love how my hand fully engulfs hers." Chenle watched as the boy smiled to himself whilst talking about his childhood friend.

"She's so small, I feel such an urge to protect her. I want her to be mine. She makes me feel things that Chae never did. I want to ask Heeyeon to be my girlfriend."

"Then do it. As her brother figure, you have my blessing. I deem you worthy of her." Chenle approved.

"Really?" Jisung asked with wide eyes. Chenle nodded at him. "If you feel that strongly for her, then you should. I've seen the way you look at her and I trust you. You're probably the only person I do trust with her, actually." Jisung couldn't help but smile.

Chenle and Jisung had talked through the entire class period. Thankfully, they had a substitute teacher so they didn't miss any important instructions.

At lunchtime, Jisung sat with Anjae outside so he could fill her in on all of the details. "I'm always ready," she said referencing the part about Chae wanting a round two. "Why did she decide to talk to you all of a sudden?"

"I don't know, I've been trying to figure that out too. It's very suspicious. I just figured Jeno broke up with her. I highly doubt that she actually feels sorry or anything, she probably just wants to get back at him or something."

"But I have feelings for Heeyeon. Strong feelings. I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend." Jisung states proudly. "Awww my little Jisungie is growing up!!" Anjae swoons, feigning tears. Jisung still cringes at the nickname but it's different when it comes from someone who really loves him.

"Ahh, Jae!! Stop!" Jisung whines when she reaches to pinch his cheeks. Anjae reluctantly pulls away with a pout. "Aww my little JaeJae, are you upset?" Jisung mocks. "Who are you calling little?" Anjae jumps up from the step she was sitting on, now standing taller than Jisung.

"You." He says with a chuckle, also standing up. Now he's the one standing taller. "Jisung, if you ever call me little again, I'll hurt you. I don't care if you are taller than me. I'm still older." She states in a scary tone. "And, I'll claim it was self-defense." She adds with a creepy smile.

"Yes ma'am." He gulps. He can only imagine what Anjae did to Chae in the bathroom that day. He stills shutters at the thought.

I missed AnSung!! (I also realized that I didn't even give ship names for my last book.)
