"Heeyeon, did I wake you?" The boy asked through the phone. "Yes, but it's alright. What's up?" She yawns. "I would like to take you out for the day if you're not busy." He says politely. "That's sweet and no, I'm not busy." She replies, beaming even though he can't see her. "Perfect, I'll pick you up in an hour!"

Heeyeon throws her body back down on her bed and stretches her limbs out as far as they will reach. Then, she rolls out of bed and into the bathroom to get ready. She had to do a double-take when she saw the mirror. She had woken up with a serious case of bed head. She was so glad Jisung couldn't see her through the phone.

She hopped in the shower and got dressed quickly since she only had an hour. She was adding the final touches to her outfit when she heard the doorbell ring. She rushed outside without even bothering to eat breakfast.

"Hi- hey, look at you! I thought your legs didn't get cold" he remarked. She was dressed in a white turtle neck, skinny jeans that were quite thick, and her black Converse. There was also the last touch that warmed Jisung's heart. She had on his fleece jacket. It looked way cuter on her too, just like he thought.

"It's December now, I'm not going to tempt Mother Nature like that." She explained walking to the car. "So, where are we going?"

"Ice skating."

Heeyeon began to panic on the inside. She's never been ice skating. She doesn't know how. All she can think of is how much it's going to hurt when she hits the floor. One of her friends back home used to ice skate. He was like a professional and everything. Now she wished she would have taken lessons with him.

Before she could speak up and tell Jisung that she didn't want to go, he grabbed one of her hands that was sitting in her lap leaving one hand on the steering wheel. Heeyeon would tell him about being a safe driver but she decided to keep it to herself since she enjoyed the gesture.

"If you don't know how to ice skate, don't worry. I can teach you and I won't let go until you say so." Jisung said this right on time. It's like he could read her mind. Heeyeon nodded and just like that, her worries were gone.

They arrived at the rink and picked up their skates. Jisung was first to get on the ice. He skated very fluidly. It was almost like he was dancing. The control he had over his own body was amazing. Now all I have to do is not fall on my face and embarrass myself. She thought to herself as she slid onto the ice. She held onto the wall with the grip of a bear.

Jisung skated over to her and tried grabbing her hands but they were plastered to the wall. "The wall can't teach you how to skate." He states the obvious. She lets go and throws her hands on both of his shoulders. He holds onto her hips lightly. He glides backwards slowly pulling Heeyeon with him.

She trembles at first from fear but she soon relaxes with him. After a while Jisung took her hands off his shoulders and held onto them. He was still skating backwards and Heeyeon seemed to actually be enjoying herself. "Are you ready for me to let go?" He asked. "Sure, I guess."

Jisung slowly released his grip from her hands and waited for her to do the same. He was very patient with her, not wanting to rush her at all. She finally let go and skated forward. Jisung stayed in front of her close enough to catch her if she fell. It was a good thing too because that's exactly what she did.

She was going good for three minutes, then she got spooked when some people zoomed passed her. She lost her balance and reached out for Jisung. He caught her but he also lost his balance, falling backwards on his head. Heeyeon landed on top of him. She slowly lifted her head to look at the boy.

"Are you okay?" He asked her without giving himself any thought. She nodded slowly looking into his eyes. There faces were inches apart and she was still on top of him. "I'm sorry about that." Jisung just giggled at her apology. "There's nothing to be sorry for, I'm alright."

The tension between them increased the longer they spent in that position. Both of them started to slowly move closer, closing any gaps of space between them. Jisung only broke eye contact to look down at her lips before his eyes flickered back to hers. Heeyeon actually wanted to kiss him so bad but she remembered that they were in public and she was still on top of him. In public.

She jumped off of him with a quickness. "Umm, let's get off the ice" she suggested. Jisung just chuckled at her sudden actions. They got up and glided off the ice together, returning their skates before leaving the rink. Their next destination was a small diner close to where they go to school. There was a sign out front that read, "Best Hot Chocolate in town".

"Two hot chocolates please" Jisung told the lady at the counter. "Do you want anything to eat?" He asked Heeyeon. She told him no but her stomach did its best dinosaur impression, contradicting her words. Remembering how she didn't eat breakfast at home this morning. "Okay, two orders of waffles as well." He giggled.

The waitress brought their hot chocolate and waffles. "It's nice to see handsome young men like yourself still taking care of ladies these days." She smiles at Jisung. Then she turned to Heeyeon, "Don't let this one go." She gestured to Jisung with her thumb. "I don't plan to." She reassured her. The lady smiled at the young pair in front of her again before getting back to work.

"How's your head?" Heeyeon asked referencing their fall earlier. "It's a little sore but I'll be fine. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm so sorry for using you as a means to break my fall. I did not mean to land on you like that." She blushed when she remembered how she landed exactly. "I didn't mind." He whispered shyly, also blushing.

Jisung watched as Heeyeon stuffed some of her waffle into her mouth. It confirmed what he said before about her looking like a bunny when she eats. He just started giggling to himself.

As Jisung reviewed all of the events that had just played out, he started to realize that his feelings for Heeyeon had only grown. She was everything he ever wanted.

I had a plan for this chapter but I forgot half way through 🥲
