"The math exam will be at the end of the semester, so begin your studying now." The teacher announces before dismissing the students. Jisung walks to the back of the room. "Heeyeon, I need you to be my full-time tutor. I can not fail this exam."

(Failing would result in him getting grounded and if he was grounded, how would he see Heeyeon)

"Of course, Ji. Just come by whenever you need help." She tells him. "Okay cool."

As Jisung walks to his locker, he sees a girl staring at him. He looks her dead in the eyes with a blank expression until she gets uncomfortable and looks away. He questions why she was even looking at him in the first place.

"Hey, Ji. Are you okay?" Jisung's mood instantly brightens when he recognizes the voice. "Yeah, Hee. I'm good." Heeyeon traces where his eyes were and her eyes land on a girl. That must be her. "Do you wanna talk about it?" She asks him cautiously.

"Sure, how about tonight after we study?" He suggests. Jisung knows he can't keep his feelings bottled in. He also wants to be completely upfront with Heeyeon. "Sounds good." She says giving him a light pat on the back before walking to class.

Before lunchtime, Jisung finds Anjae. "Jae, I really like Heeyeon and I think I'm finally over she who shall not be named." He says. "If you're sure, go for it. But still, be very careful, you may be over her but that doesn't mean she didn't affect you."

"Yeah, you're right. But she gets to look so happy with him. I think I deserve that too."

"Of course you do Ji, of course, you do." She condoles the boy by pulling him into a tight hug. Anjae is slightly older than Jisung, so in these moments she feels her "big sister instincts" kicking in. She hated to see him hurt in any way. That also explains why she kicked Chae's butt in the bathroom.

"Thanks, Jae."

Jisung arrives at Heeyeon's place with a box of fried chicken. "I brought dinner" he smiles and holds up the box of fried goodness. "I love fried chicken!" She exclaims. "Oh good, I wasn't sure." He sighs in relief.

The two dig in before studying. Jisung is no longer bothered by how intense Heeyeon's study sessions are. He's grown used to them over the few months that they've been studying together. He's actually very grateful.

Now that study time is over, it's time for tea. And not the drink. "So that girl earlier was my ex. Chae..." Jisung began. Heeyeon just nods. He confirmed her suspicions. "I caught her cheating on me with this guy named Jeno." Heeyeon gasps. "Wow, I'm so sorry."

Jisung goes into detail about how he found out. He proceeds to tell her how he was walking through the halls and the janitor called out to him to pass a mop from the janitor's closet. Somebody had thrown up in the cafeteria. Jisung opened the closet to see Chae and Jeno making out. He ran away after that.

The thing that hurt him the most was the fact that Chae never even tried to explain herself. She just ghosted him, leaving Jisung to feel stupid and doubt himself. So he was extremely bothered when she was staring at him this morning.

"Wow Ji, I'm so sorry this happened to you. You didn't deserve that." Heeyeon says clenching her fists. Jisung notices how small her hands are and how cute they look in fists. He can't help but smile in endearment. "Don't worry about it, I honestly should have known something was up. She was always acting funny, I just didn't pay it any mind."

"Let me see your hand," Jisung says abruptly, holding his hand in the air. Heeyeon mimics him and he grabs her wrist to bring it closer to his hand. He presses their hands together to compare hand sizes. Heeyeon starts to blush at how small her hand is compared to his.

"How cute," he says, just letting the words roll off of his tongue without much thought. "You think I-I'm cute?" Heeyeon seems like she's going to choke on the words. "Huh? Did I say that?" Jisung asks awkwardly. Heeyeon nods at him slowly. "Oh, umm yeah. I do think you're pretty cute." He admits shyly, face flushing red.

"I think you're cute too." Heeyeon says barely above a whisper. Neither of them knows what to say next. Where's Chenle when you need him? They both think to themselves simultaneously.

"Well Jisung, I hope you're okay. Even if it did happen a while ago. I know what it feels like to be in a bad relationship too, but that's a story for another day." I had to completely move away because of him.

"Thanks, Heeyeon, and I'll be waiting on that storytime by the way. Whenever you're ready, I'm all ears." Jisung wants to repay her for listening to him but little does he know, there's so much to her story. They'd be there all night.

"So, do you want to call it a night, hang out, or study some more?" Heeyeon asks. She figures that he won't choose the last option but she added it anyway. "Let's hangout" he chirps.

Heeyeon and Jisung get caught up in a very intense game of Uno. Right as Heeyeon is about to win, Jisung places a draw four card. Now he has Uno and his last card is a green seven. Before he can put the card down and claim his victory, his phone starts ringing.

Jisung groans before checking his phone, he only checked in case it was his mother. He groans when he sees the caller ID. Chae with a bunch of hateful emojis (courtesy of Anjae). Jisung clicks the red decline button with a quickness and tosses his phone on the couch. He doesn't give any thought as to why she may be calling him. He just focuses on the girl in front of him.

His phone rings again but this time he silences it and continues his game with Heeyeon. He finally places his last card and claims his victory. "Let's play again!" Heeyeon pouts. "Alright, fine." Jisung let's Heeyeon deal the cards this time.

"Ha! I won!!" Heeyeon shouted. Jisung couldn't help but swoon over how cute she was.

He totally didn't let her win...
