Heeyeon returned home feeling refreshed after seeing her family after a long time. It was a rejuvenating experience but she was also glad to be back home. Her friends had become her family here so she had missed them as well.

The only thing she could think to do was call Jisung.  They decided to go on a date to the movies in order to unwind after holiday traveling. Heeyeon got dressed and met him at the theatre.

Once their eyes landed on each other their faces broke into bright smiles. "I've missed you so much!" Jisung beamed. "It felt like forever without you." They spewed more clichés before eventually making their way inside.

The movie they chose to watch was a romance comedy. It was an enemies to lovers trope. During the kissing scene, the couple tensed slightly. They've been dating for months and haven't even had their first kiss yet. Jisung didn't want to pressure Heeyeon and Heeyeon didn't want to make the first move. It was going to be a waiting game.

Towards the end of the movie, Heeyeon's phone began ringing. She read the caller ID and it caught her by surprise. Jisung looked at her in confusion but she gave him a reassuring wave of her hand. She got up and walked out of the theatre to take the call.

"Hi Yeonie!" The voice on the other end chirped. "Don't 'Hi Yeonie' me! Why haven't I seen you in forever?" She growled lowly trying not to draw attention to herself. "Sorry, I was just taking care of some things." He apologized.

"But I have great news!" He announced. "Yeah?" Heeyeon acknowledged. "I'm outside your place right now!" Heeyeon didn't even know how to respond. "What do you mean?" She wasn't even sure that she heard him correctly.

"I mean what I just said. I'm outside. Are you not here?" He started peaking through the windows. "No, but it looks like I'll be on my way sooner than I thought." She said angrily and hung up in his face.

How dare he just show up unannounced! The audacity.

Heeyeon returned to let Jisung know that she was leaving. "Hey, I'm really sorry but I have to go home right now. Something important just came up but I'll make it up to you, I promise." Jisung looked upset but he understood. Neither of them were happy about it. Heeyeon squeezed Jisung's hand lightly before leaving.

"Na Jaemin! You show up unannounced and ruined my date, you have some explaining to do." She scolded. "Na Jaemin? What happened to Nana?" He whined. "Jaemin..." she warned.

"Fine, I decided to take a break from college because it's hard. But I also need a break from my mother, so I can't go home. And I know how much my baby cousin has missed me so I decided to pay her a visit and maybe spend...3 months with her?"

It was only then that Heeyeon noticed the suitcases he had with him. "Stay with me? For three months?" Jaemin nodded with a pleading smile and his best puppy eyes. Heeyeon was so weak for it and she gave in. "Okay, but you better behave. Now, why weren't you at grandma's on Christmas?"

"I had to finish a lot of work in order to earn this long of a break. I didn't want to fall behind either. College is hard enough." He sighed. "Alright Yeonie, now that I've explained, stop acting like you're not excited to see me."

Heeyeon had to admit she was very happy to see him. Jaemin was her favorite cousin and they were the closest out of the whole family. Everyone knew it and they would often be mistaken for siblings because of their close relationship. They only ever called each other by their nicknames. Full names were only used when they meant business.

She walked over to him with her arms open wide. Jaemin didn't accept. She gave him a confused look. "First, say 'Nana, I missed you so much'!" He grinned smugly. "How about, Nana you're crazy if you think I'm going to say that. Don't forget where you're staying for the next three months now, give me a hug."

"I guess that works too." He scoffed, rolling his eyes before pulling his little cousin into a warm hug. They had missed each other so much. Jaemin is literally Heeyeon's built in best friend. They have a weird joke that they would have been soulmates if they weren't related.

"What was this about a date I was interrupting?" He hummed. "Yes, I was on a date. With my boyfriend. His name is Jisung." Heeyeon spoke proudly. Jaemin pouted. "Why not Chenle?" He questioned.

"Nana. No. Chenle and I are like siblings. It would be too weird for us to date." She shivered at the thought. She had never seen Chenle in that way before and she never would. Same goes for him. Heeyeon's always been just his annoying little sister.

"Tell me about this Jisung." He says leaning back on the couch dramatically as if he were a judge on a TV show. "Well, he's tall, gentle, kind, and he takes good care of me when I need it. He's also friends with Chenle."

"Hmm, I'll have to meet him. I just hope you're taking care of yourself." Jaemin refrained from saying anymore. He didn't want to risk sounding like another broken record in the family. He knows she's heard it all from everyone else. Heeyeon noticed that he held back and she was grateful for it.

Jaemin was the most understanding member of the family and that's why he and Heeyeon got along so well. He understands her so well and they're close in age.

"Your turn, tell me about college." Heeyeon was trying to gather as much information as she could on the college experience. She trusted Jaemin a lot so she was prepared to listen to any advice he had for her.

"College isn't much different than high school at all. The classes are slightly harder, but that shouldn't be a problem for you. Adjusting to living alone and having to form good habits to take care of responsibilities, you've got that too. Just stay on top of your work and manage your time wisely, you'll be fine."

Heeyeon soaked up all of the information. It put her at ease to know that she was basically already living the college life. That put her ahead in itself. However, one thing still worried her.

"Do you have a roommate?" She inquired. Heeyeon was fine living alone but she didn't know if she could handle living with a stranger. The mere thought of it made her anxious.

"Yeah, his name's Yangyang. He's from Taiwan but he also lived in Germany and he speaks like five different languages. He's pretty cool. We have a lot fun at the dorms together."

"That's good to hear." Heeyeon has heard nothing but good reviews from all of her cousins in college. It soothes her worries tremendously. Now all she had to do was focus on getting accepted to SM University. She's wanted to go to SMU since she was a child. Her cousins, Jaemin and Sungchan, just so happened to go to the same University.

As night fell, Heeyeon decided she ought to help her cousin get settled in and unpack. Luckily, there was an extra room in her apartment. She never really used it so it was bare except for a bed with no linens. "We can go to the store tomorrow and buy extra stuff for the room." She never anticipated having a guest. Especially one that was staying for three months.

Jaemin nodded his head and the cousins finished unpacking his suitcase. It was going to be a fun time now that they were reunited. Let's just hope things go as planned.
