Zak Finn and the others were searching for a route up to them on the Citadel's ground level.
Despite this, scores of security guards continued to emerge from the elevator.
The workers became concerned when their appearance changed.
Other officers were speaking over the pillars, and Emma noticed them.
"Jordan, please pick up, Jordan," she said into her communicator.
She tried not to arouse the suspicions of the approaching guards who were passing by.
Emma dashed into the break room as soon as the coast was clear.
One female guard entered the office wearing a gold helmet, indicating her superior status.
Sylvie, one of Emma's pals, was revealed to be the lady.
"Madame, we have an issue," she explained.
Sylvie sat at the table.
Emma watched through the window as the guards shackled her friends.
Sylvie directed the three of them to a service elevator.
One of them attempted to retaliate but was struck in the head with a baton by one guard.
The guards subsequently dragged his body into the elevator.
The other workers had had enough when the guard slapped him.
They got into a fight with the other guards, striking them with whatever they could find.
Sylvie and Emma took advantage of the opportunity to spot Zak and Finn in the midst of the turmoil.
They all dashed down the stairs to the engine room.
Sylvie then removed a hatch on the ground, revealing some magnetic hooks she had manufactured.
"These will bring you to Alpha Level; once there, gather your allies and put that nasty bitch down for good," she explained as she handed them the equipment.
Sylvie hugged Emma goodbye as she exited the room.
"Let's go," Zak suggested.
Soon after, the gang arrived at an elevator shaft.
Zak used his flames to cut a hole in its top, allowing them to grapple up.
They shot their grappling hooks onto another oncoming elevator that was ascending.
They gradually climbed to the top and rode up to the Alpha Level.
"I hope they're ok," Finn replied.
As they progressed to the Alpha Level, they began to detect a problem.
"Wait, where has Tidus gone?" Finn inquired.
They all looked about but couldn't find him.
