Arabelle/The Hollow pov

I wake up with a loud gasp and dry throat, like used to be, I try to look around my surrounding as it seems familiar to me. I see a glass of water and blood bag on the coffee table, I take a gulp of it. "A-Am in New Orleans?" I asked myself, I climb out of my bed and take a look outside the window. "New Orleans... Why am I in New Orleans?" I leave my room and shout Nik's name.

"Here, sister."

I turn to the source of the voice, where it comes from Nik's old room. "Nik, why are we back in this da-..." he shushed me and nodded his head at his bed, Camille who stood not far from him and I turn to look at it and found Hope covering in blanket. "Aunt Ara..." my niece weakly said. I went beside her bed and crouch down at her level, "I-I I'm cold. Aunt Freya tries to stop and a man named Vincent, but I'm still feeling cold."

I look at the seven years old in pity, "my darling little girl... Do you mind if I take a look?" I asked gently. "Would it be hurt?" I shook my head, "not at all, tribrid's honour... You know what? On a rainy night and when your father and I were your age we used to hold each of our hands, we're holding each other, so, tightly. We count until we're no longer feel scared. Now I want you to do the same, you can hold your dad's hand as hard as you want. Can you do that?" she nods, holding her forearm out while Nik went to another side of the bed. When I hear she starts to count, I begin to chant a spell to find out what's wrong with her.

It only takes a few minutes for me to figure what's wrong with her, then I look at Nik and motion him that we need to talk outside. He nods slightly, leaving me with Hope. "Little girl, I meant to give you this late birthday's gift. But I need you to promise me something," she nods again. I take a little box out of my pocket and show her a golden bracelet with a crescent pack's symbol on it, "this is an ultimate protection charm."

I pick it up and gently put it on Hope's left wrist, "as long as you wear it, nothing can harm you and whenever you're lost in darkness, this will be your compass to lead you back home out of it. Got it?" She nods again. "I need you to do our tribrid's honour to never ever take it off. No matter what," I hold my pinkie out to her.

She links hers to mine, "I promise, tribrid honour. But why would I get lost?" I chuckle at her innocent, ruffling her hair. "One day when you're older, you will understand that sometimes we get lost in the path of searching for our light." I kiss her forehead, "now sleep and when you're awake, you'll feel better than before and you can share a plate of beignets with us, sound good?" I smile at the little girl and nod at Camille as she watches over Hope.
