Welcome to The Family, Love pt II

Arabelle pov

"what a troublesome woman."

I woke up with a bunch of texts from Bex that the mumzy is on the loose and, apparently, today is another day to be a private-hidden nanny. Well, you know the drill, make sure the mumzy is not dead from blood loss or whatever it is. With a black sweatshirt and beige pants, i try to locate Hayley using Find My iPhone. The red dot shows me that she is somewhere in the french quarter.

I arrived at the French quarter, i take out Hayley's personal belonging and chant a simple spell on it to lead me to wherever she is. I keep my distance from her when I found her across the street and she seems like trying to find something then she stopped across a certain shop, she walks up to a shopfront when a dark-skinned woman appears to be leaving the shop.

In a second i was at one of the shop's roofs to get a better view of Hayley and whoever the woman in front of her. Hayley calling the woman with curly hair, who seems to be the owner of the shop, "Hey, hey!" using my super-hearing to eavesdrop on them. "We're closed. Sorry," the owner said, locking the door. "I just need one teeny, tiny little herb. Please?" Hayley leaning forward when the owner turns to face her.

"Which herb?" The woman is offering a fake kind smile to Hayley. "Crushed aconite flower," Hayley answered. I furrow my eyebrow after hearing her, "wolfsbane? That's poison. You're gonna kill a wolf?" the witch asked back in unsureness. I know Marcel banned wolves and witches, but that woman seems suspicious.

Who are you gonna kill, Hayley?

"Just a little one," Hayley answered, looking down at her belly while the other woman eyeing Hayley's stomach in surprise. "Give me a minute."

I frown at the owner who seems eager to help Hayley getting rid of the baby. "You need to stop her," a familiar voice said from next to me. "She is a bad witch," she added. "I rather kill her than stop her, but i just wanna know who she working for. Clearly, not for the witches," i replied, resting my chin down at the small wall. If Sophie links her life with Hayley, she must be very important for whatever the witches planning right now. I need to know their plan.

A moment later, the same woman returns with a small vial and she gives it to Hayley. "Cut it with jimson weed, a few drops in some hot tea. That should do it," she explained while Hayley hands her some money when the witch refuses it.

Aww, such fake sweetness.
