Today was going to be fun. I was so sure that Peter was Spiderman. I couldn't wait to see him squirm and sweat trying to convince me he wasn't. I know I sound cruel but hey serves him right from keeping me, his best friend, from this secret for so long.

Unless I wasn't his best friend. Maybe I was giving myself too much credit.

Immediately I knew something was wrong when I got to school. Peter telling Ned to hush up when I got to the locker in the morning. I didn't think then was the best time to start teasing about Spiderman. But I wasn't given an opportunity the entire day, Ned wouldn't leave his side. I caught on pretty quick that Ned knew he was Spiderman. I felt pretty left out that Ned was allowed to know but I wasn't, I thought I was more trust worthy than Ned. No offence Ned.

In every class, in the hallways, even at lunch they ignored me. It got really tiring really quickly, so I decided it was better to spend my time with MJ. Someone who ignores me all the time anyway.

"If you keep staring at Parker he's going to catch on that you like him." MJ states, not looking up from her book.

"What? I-I don't like Peter." I reply, not stopping my star jumps, god I hate gym class. "I'm just trying to figure out what his problem is."

"You mean his Spiderman problem?"

"What?!" I freak, earning a few stares from those around me, a kneel down beside her trying to catch my breath. "N-no he isn't."

"I mean it's pretty obvious? A few months ago he couldn't do 3 sit ups without having an asthma attack, now look at him." She motions me to look, he definitely wouldn't have been able to do that a couple months ago. "And it's pretty obvious you know it too. You're not an idiot, you figured it out ages ago."

"I mean, I don't know for sure." I sigh. "He hasn't told me."

"So I was right? You did figure it out."

"Shut up." I laugh.

"Peter knows Spiderman." We hear from across the gym. Way to be subtle Ned.

"No, I don't. No. I-I mean-"

"They're friends."

MJ and I decide to walk over. Even though I'm mad at Peter right now I don't exactly want his alter ego to be revealed.

"Yeah like Coach Wilson and Captain America are friends." Flash says smugly, unconvinced.

"I've met him, a couple times. But it's through, uh, the Stark Internship. Yeah I'm not really supposed to talk about it." He angrily says to Ned through grit teeth.

Flash approaches him, not letting him out of this situation. "Well that's awesome. Hey you know what you should invite him to Liz's party tonight."

Oh no, no, Peter don't take the bait.

"You're having a party?"

"Yeah just some friends, you're welcome to come."

"Yeah, you should totally bring your best pal Spiderman. You'll come right Parker?" Flash shoulder barges him as the bell rings.

"What are you doing?" He squeaks at Ned.

"Ned that was insane, what were you thinking?!" I interject, not caring that this situation didn't really concern me.

"I was thinking, we've never been invited to a party before, let alone a senior party. This is our chance to climb the high school social ladder." He explains.

"Really Ned you don't care about popularity do you? We're not in middle school anymore." I sigh, I can't believe Peter trusts him and not me.

"You mean you nearly compromised my ident- uh, relationship with Spiderman to go to some stupid party?!" Peter folds his arms.

"Not just any party, Liz Allen's party!" Of course, Ned was being Peter's wing man. "Besides, it could be fun, we can all go together. Even, you know, try invite Spiderman. It will be great."

"Peter's 'relationship' with Spiderman isn't some party trick." I argue.

"Exactly." Peter agrees.

"Peter it could be part of the plan." Ned continued, now I was just confused.

"I told you I didn't like that plan." Peter retorts, annoyed.

"What plan?" I ask, wanting to be included for once.

"N-nothing y/n don't worry. Ned's just being an idiot."

"I want to know." I insist, feeling like a child but I still deserved somewhat of an explanation.

"It's nothing, just drop it y/n!" He spat.

"Whatever, screw you two." I push past them and leave the gym. I'm so sick of this bullshit. Did Peter really not trust me? What the hell did I do to make him not trust me? And he trusts Ned? I would never have pulled that stunt in the gym! Whatever screw them, screw the both of them.

"Hey y/n, you alright?" Liz, of course Liz, asks as I storm into the girls locker room

"Y-yeah. Fine. Just um, I-I was wondering. Am I able to also come to your party?" I felt so awkward standing there, essentially begging to be included.

"Yeah, of course! I'd love to have you come! I'll text you the deets." She smiles, that goddamn smile, made me wanna punch her again. No, no, don't tear down other women just to make you feel better.

"Thanks." I muster a smile.
