With his escape, he could start anew, discover himself and find new people who would accept, love, and appreciate him. That was all he longed for and that's what he wants to find.

The Kingdom of Hearth that he used to think was his home is now far behind him as his feet were fleeing and his heart was racing on its own. Beomgyu puffed yet he didn't stop. If he stops his tracks and take a selfish rest, those palace guards that are chasing him off from behind would capture him and once they do, he'll never know what ensues to his life.

It could end right there and then and Hoseok's sacrifice would mean nothing. He can't let that take place.

Running away has been his thought since the day he was closed off inside the fortress and when the Queen's commanded her helpers to punish and torture him. Every night, he sleeps with water flowing out his eyes and wakes up with dried tears on his skin and a wounded arm and a bleeding head that would have resulted in his early death.

Everything was all too traumatizing that it inflicted misery and agony inside him, resentment growing. Since the day he bled on his eyes, his hatred grew stronger.

If he stays inside the fortress and waits for the day his family and the people finally accept him for who he was, it would cause him further suffering and prejudice.

He will never be free.

He will never feel what it is like to breathe without the fear of dying.

Beomgyu had to keep on running. This is the first and last chance of escaping that he has right on the grip of his hands. Letting go now would make him regret his decision.

The beauty of being outside the kingdom was breathtaking but his gallops are more breath-taking. He cried silently as his feet were going up and down the ground. After more than minutes of running, he tried to peek at the back and check if there were still palace guards chasing him off.

Panic ate his whole when he saw that they don't seem tired from catching him and are still off for him.

"Fucking hell," he whispered and galloped rapidly and hastily. He can't let this chance slip away just because of some pathetic guards who are wasting their lives following the orders from a reckless Queen.

"Running away is no use! Let us capture you so we could finally fest!"

Shivers ran through his skin when the voice that screeched at him sounded so close to his ears. Tears burst out of his eyes and inched faster than and took deep breaths, sweat beading on his whole.

Beomgyu began running towards the direction of the heightened trees in the dark. If he couldn't outrun them, maybe he could hide.

Now, how could he be sure that he's finally free after escaping? His mind swarmed with so many questions.

Will he die? Does running away would mean his life is going to be perfect? Does he have a place to go to without being captured? For a split second, Beomgyu's tears watered his eyes from the thought of being caught after all the running he has done... Or maybe that was just the wind.

Checking so carefully from behind the tree to see if he's lost the guards chasing him, he breathed in and jetted to a destination he doesn't know where, jumping over small holes, dodging pests that wanted to suck his blood clean. He was pumping his legs as fast as they could go.

Once he made it to a lake, Beomgyu shot up under the shadows of trees. His breathing was labored, legs were tired and the wind was hardly tormenting his eyes. He wiped away several tears thinking about everything he's went through. All the blood, all the scars, all the misery.
