"What the fuck are you doing here?"
Taehyun asks nicely, in the calmest way possible. "What are you doing here?" he struggles to put on a smile on his face, watching the way she's even breathing in front of him.
"I'm here... To talk." She smiles gracefully. Her voice sounded full—Soft yet full of power, enough to build or ruin one's life.
The figure standing in front of him was someone Taehyun already anticipated seeing—But he didn't think he'd find her in front of him right now, looking so ominous.
Her face looked like she had never been bruised. Like there used to be no stains of blood on her cheeks, hands, and body.
"What is there to talk about?" Taehyun moves his hand to brush his hair back, trying his best to keep his composure. She hasn't done anything yet, but he's sure there'll be something.
"There's a lot I have to mention..." The Queen looks at her nails, losing the bit of patience she never really had. "Those that you would want to hear—"
"—And one that you wouldn't want to know of."
Taehyun's fist slowly closed, gripping on air. He doesn't know how long he can keep this up, but if she's here to just talk, he can't just make her leave.
"Well, are you going to let me in?"
The general looked around, eyeing his sentries to keep on the lookout and await what might happen.
"Follow me."
Taehyun strode the hallways carefully, while the Queen flew smoothly behind him. "We're heading to the drawing room. My post a right there." he didn't turn once to look at her as he spoke. He can't even bear to look at the fairy whole caused his whole life's misery.
"You've changed so much since the last I saw you... In my kingdom." The Queen smiles with hypocrisy. "Your Queen Mother was right about you." Hearing those words slip out of her mouth surely piqued the general's interest.
"She told me you can be reckless at most times. There were only a few when you truly thought and sorted things out before coming up with a final decision."
"Since when did you converse with my Mother, Her Majesty?" More than ten whiles did the Queen spoke about her anger towards the Queen of Hearth. She only liked Queen Yoora once, and that was before the big war.
"You don't have to know, General Kang." She says, "What matters is what she meant to say to me, right?"
Only a few, unbearable minutes later, they were standing at the arched door of the former Queen's drawing room, which is now Taehyun's space.
"If you become intolerable while we speak inside, I'm afraid I will have to ask you to leave." The door made a noise of a click when he put in the key to open the wooden door.
"Of course,"
They entered the room with silence that Taehyun doesn't want to hear ever again. "Please, take a seat." Oh, Taehyun's sure as hell that he's having a hard time trying to not sound rude which will ruin his image even before he sits down as King.
Once she sat down, "I came here to speak to you about certain things." Taehyun just felt the seat warm up to his body and she began talking (which is better for both of them).
"What are they?"
"I'm sure that you know about our kingdoms' former connection." She then handed an inch-thick folder to him that he hesitantly accepted from her. "We used to have grateful trades and your father was good in making camaraderies and making good offers."
