"I love you, Your Highness." The girl confessed. Everyone cracked up at the foolishness of a young woman like her, even bothering to confess to a member of the royal family in the Hearth.

The young man looked at her with a look of amazement and confusion at the same time, "Why are you giving me flowers?" He asks.

"It's peonies... Peonies are a symbol of love, honor, happiness, wealth, romance, and beauty..." She smile, trying to hide the way her hands are shaking to the core.

"Wow... Thank you..?" The boy lets out, slowly taking the bouquet from her hands. "What would you say if I invite you to join us for dinner?"

And that was the beginning of her journey as his wife, the Queen of the Kingdom, and the power of authority coming to her hands.

The Queen of the Hearths wasn't thrilled after delivering her son, Crown Prince Choi Beomgyu. After desperately wanting a daughter, she screamed that she was given an ugly son with hair and eyes as dark as the night sky. She referred to him as a "monster" and had ordered to kill him several times.

She scorned him the first minute he was born, but she knew he had to love the boy as he was the son of the King and without the King, she would be powerless. Of course, Queen Yoora succeeded in loving her son. She had given and showered him with affection, and even came to a point of growing attachment to the boy.

"Wow, my dear, you look so lovely." She utters with a smile and came rushing to the little boy standing in front of her, planting kisses on his cheeks, nose, and forehead.

The boy giggled at each kiss he earned from his mother. "I love you, mother." He says with a giddy heart.

"I know, dear."

All things were going fine, really. However, she had changed when Beomgyu showed no signs of growing wings behind his back. He was right, turning nine. Commonly, and for everyone it occurs, the mark of your Kingdom is imprinted at the back of your neck. When you are to grow your wings, the mark will begin to glow each day, until it becomes an unbearable light to even stare at. Yet the mark on his neck did not glow.

It frightened the Queen, and the King strongly disagreed on hiding him away.

"He's a child, my love. We cannot keep him inside the fortress! He will lead the Kingdom after me—"

"But he is wingless!" She screamed, "A wingless fairy shall never have a place in a kingdom, especially not mine!"

"This Kingdom is not yours, Yoora!" The King asserts, hitting the table with his hands to shut her up.

The Queen could not speak and even defend herself from, what he had just said. Because it was true. "This kingdom isn't yours... It is mine and whatever word I say, goes."

He said with finality. But she still perpetrated.

She knows that once the other kingdoms from other islands earn the knowledge that the Hearths are hiding a wingless Prince, their resources might be snatched away from them as they would be labeled as weak, and not deserving of their riches and respect.

If she hides the boy away, no one will know, or even care enough for him to look. If she hides him from everyone even his father, she will be next in line. By hiding Beomgyu, they shall never worry about their reserves to be stolen from them, she shall never worry about the throne being taken from her, and they will not have to live with shame that their son is wingless.

But she knew that by doing her plan, she will need to get the King out of her way.

"Dear, drink your medicine tonight, alright? I don't want you to fall sick like your mother." The Queen caressed the King's jaw as they were inside the his studio and she was seated on his lap. "You know I love you too much."
