. . .

"Sir Yeonjun? You're back."

The palace guards lined up and raised their hands to their foreheads as a sign of respect to the higher-ranking soldier. "Good morning." He bows. After his sudden disappearance, lower-ranking soldiers were surprised to see him back.

"Perhaps, do you know where Lieutenant Choi might be?" Yeonjun inquired, fixing the sword hanging by the side of his hip.

"Lieutenant Choi is currently resting in his post, Sir."

"Thank you." Then, Yeonjun quickly fixed his worn-out uniform and was about to walk away, until one of them spoke again.

"But we don't know if he would want to see you, Sir Choi." The palace guards then fiddled upon themselves and pointed fingers, afraid that Yeonjun might blow anger at them.

"Why..?" Yeonjun's brows instantly furrowed, "Why wouldn't he?" But really, it wasn't impossible that Lieutenant Choi might be irritated at him. For the past month, every time Yeonjun writes him a letter, he doesn't give a reply. Instead, he was always left with questions like "did he see my letter? Is he upset with me?"

"He has been very enraged these days, Sir. No one had talked to him, other than when it is time to train."

"Did he... Did he mention looking for me?" Yeonjun asks hesitantly, "Is he somehow mad at me..?"

One of the palace guards sighs and says, "He's mad at everyone, Sir. In fact, Lieutenant Choi isn't mad at you, but us, for letting you go."

The fear building inside of him quickly died down, but it went back when he imagined how upset-looking his boyfriend might be. But he's glad enough to know that he isn't me at him. "Well, then, I'll go check up on him."

"Nice seeing you again, Sir Yeonjun."

Other than the fact that he's about to meet Lieutenant Choi again after disappearing out of nowhere and all of a sudden, he's nervous, to say the least.

He left clueless, and he's back with an answer. An answer that Taehyun would love to hear, but would hate to accept.

He can't imagine the look on his friend's face and how he's going to deal with it, especially knowing that Beomgyu's involved in it, too.

"Let's do this..." Blowing air out of his mouth, he breathlessly walked inside the post of their Lieutenant.

"Lieutenant Choi? Excuse me?" Yeonjun knocks on the opened door and looked around the area—It was dark and clean, obvious that someone was just here a minute ago and turned the lights off before leaving.

"It's Yeonjun, Lieutenant Ch–"

"Now it's Lieutenant Choi?" A man in his uniform walked out of the shadows in the room with arms crossed and his face scowled. "Where the hell have you been, Yeonjun?"

Swallowing, he took a deep breath before speaking and explaining himself. "Something important came up. I was going to tell you but with the time running out–"

"You could've at least left me a note, Yeonjun. You shouldn't have left without anyone knowing!" His stern voice would scare anyone who would head them, but what Yeonjun is feeling right now is far from that. "You scared the shit out of me,"
