--DIPPER POV--
"Mabel, I don't think the Mystery Shack is close AT ALL." I mumbled to my ignorant twin.
"Sure it is! I...think..." She shrugged. "Maybe it isn't."
"MABEL!" I yell at her. "It's extremely warm out and we'll both get dehydrated."
"Don't worry, we'll find a...stream!" She ran over to a nearby flow of water. It looked...off. Too clear. Too brilliant. But we had no choice. It was drink or die.
"I was gonna say we'd find a bag of gummy bears, but this is great too!" She grinned and sipped some water out of her cupped hands, and I did the same.
"Mabel...are you suddenly...tired?" I was all of the sudden so drowsy I could barely complete my sentence.
"No...not at a-" Her reply was cut off by a loud snore.
I shrugged. It couldn't hurt to get some rest, I thought. I settled down under a tree to rest, not realizing that drinking that water was one of the worst decisions of my life.
((A/N-This is my first fanfic so what do you all think so far. You know what's coming next chapter...it'll be up in an hour or so. Or sooner if I'm feeling good.))
