It was later on. I walked up the driveway of the house with the baby. I was with Anna and Liv for most of the day. After I told Liv what happened, she immediately felt his pain. I walk into the house to find Kim cleaning and Hiccup not around As I came in, Kim looked up. "Oh, good. You're here!" She said.

I hold my breath for a moment. "Where's Hiccup?" I ask

"He's in the basement... He's been down there all night."

"All night?" I ask.

She nodded. "Yeah. I guess he likes it down there.." She told me. "It's better than being on the roof."

I look over. "The roof?"

"He uses to climb to the roof when he was thinking. It was dangerous, but his father didn't question him."

I sigh. "Okay, I'll go talk to him," I mutter then head for the Basement. Hiccup was downstairs on a couch, upside. He looked focused on the wall, in front of him. It was only then, I realized he was throwing a ball to the dog in that Direction. "Why are you upside down?" I ask him.

He looked over. "Why aren't you upside down?" He asked.

"Hiccup?"

"I'm bored, okay." He sat right up, as I came down. I sat in the chair across from him, as he tossed the dog ball again.

"You okay?" I ask him.

"Yeah... Elsa, I'm fine." He replied.

"You don't look fine," I say.

He looked up. "It's been hard." He told me.

"I know... Trust me I know."

The dog brought the ball back to Hiccup, as he threw it again. "You lost your parents too, Elsa..." He told me. "Don't you ever miss them?"

"I do every day, but they've been gone for so long Hiccup, I hardly remember that pain.." He didn't look at me. "You're still lost under what happened. It came so sudden to you." I say.

He looked down. "You and Asher are the only things I have." He told me.

"Is that a bad thing?" I ask.

He looked up. "No." He replied. "You two are the best things that have happened in my entire life." He told me.

I smile a little. "You and he are the best in my life too." For once, I actually got him to smile. But then I thought of something. "You wanna go out somewhere?" I ask.

"Where?"

"I dunno.. Somewhere fun.."

He blinked. "What about Asher?"

"I'm sure Kim could watch him.."

He looked at me again. "Okay, but where are we going?"

"Somewhere... I don't know yet."

"Okay..."

I smile, then grab his arm. "Let's go then."

-Later-

"C'mon Hiccup, hurry up!" I say as I pull Hiccup down the street quickly.

"I'm hurrying... But seriously Elsa, slow down." He told me with a small cough.

I stop, looking back at him...

"Sorry... " I keep forgetting that he's ill and can't walk fast anymore.

"It's cool.."

I look at him then over. He looks down for a moment. "You still didn't tell me where we're going." He muttered.

"We're not right now," I say keeping his Pace. "We're walking right now."

He raised an Eyebrow then continued walking. We were silent for a moment. "This silence is killing me," I say.

He looked at me. "Would you like to say something?" He asked with a smirk.

I nudge him roughly. "Stop being smart!" I hiss.

He looked away with another smirk. "I'm kidding." He muttered.

We were silent again when he nudged me back. I nudge him again when I noticed we're on a bridge. I then suddenly push him, making him lose his balance. "Hey!" He looked back to me after he regained his balance.

"What?" I ask playing dumb.

"Why'd you push me?"

"I was having fun," I say.

He smirked. "Sure.."

"I was..." I say.

He continued walking. I follow him. We were silent again. Without a word, he shoved me, only to grab my hand before we both fell off the bridge. "Hey!" I snap.

He let me hang there for a moment, with my hand in his. "Now that's what I call fun!" He told me then pulled me up.

"That wasn't funny!" I say.

"Yeah, I know." He said to me. "But your smiling now." He added.

I look at him. "Fine. I thought it was funny."

He smirked again, then started walking again. We stopped at the railing of the bridge. He went silent again. "You know what Tomorrow is, right?" I ask. He looked at me.

"The 14th?" He asked.

"Yeah... But it's also your Dad's funeral." I say to him.

He looked away. "Oh yeah." He muttered.

"Will you be able to do it?" I ask.

"Do what?"

"You're the Speaker..." I tell him.

He sighed. "I don't know... Him dying was my fault... I was stupid enough to leave the house, and now I have the punishment." He said.

"And what's that?"

"Losing the last person I had." He said.

"That's not a punishment..." I say to him.

"It feels like one." He muttered.

"Why's that?"

"Because I mess up everything I do. He's dead because I didn't listen." He started. I was silent. "Because I'm just a complete mess up, and messing things up is what I do best."

I look at him. "You didn't mess up with me," I say. He looked at me. "Whatever you did, it made me stick with you," I add. "Because I have no intention of leaving you."

"I guess you don't see the Ticking Bomb, that ruins everything." He told me flatly.

I shake my head. "No, I don't see it, because it's not there."

He was silent again. "What about Asher?" I ask. "You didn't mess up with him."

"No.. I guess I didn't." He sighed. "There's still the future." He added.

"Hiccup."

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding." He told me. I smile a little. He looked over. "Speaking of Asher, we should probably get home.." He told me.

I nod a little. "Okay." We start walking back home silently.

"Lemme ask you this though." I start.

"What?"

I think for a moment. "Actually it can wait.," I say.

He looked at me for a moment. He looked like he was going to say something else, but all he said was, "Okay."
