Today was a good day. It was the middle of October, and it was nice. Thankfully, Hiccup was in a good mood for once. Hiccup and I walked through the woods in the back of his property.
I knew Hiccup had a huge property, but I never thought It would be this big. "The last time we were out there was..." Hiccup started calmly.
"Summer," I finished calmly.
He looked to me then smile.
"Yeah.."
We continue to walk through the trees. We were silent when Hiccup stopped. "I remember this.." he sighed. I look to where he was looking. I see an old broken tree fort. "My dad and I built this. Forever ago."
I look at it. "What happened to it?"
"A storm knocked it down, after that Jack and I took Axes to it." He said with a small laugh. He looks away for a moment and I found myself looking at him. "C' mon. Let's go."
I follow him, reaching the docks where the boat was. "Aren't you going to take the boat out of the water?" I ask him.
"Eh, my dad will do it." He said he was walked onto the dock.
I follow him, then go to his side. After a second, I gently nudge him. He nudged me back. It turned into a small war, until I nudged him harder, pushing him off the dock. He fell into the water. I go to the edge of the dock, where he fell. "Hiccup?" He was still underwater. "Hiccup?"
After a few seconds, he came back up. "I'm good," he said to me then shook his head moving his hair to the side.
"I'm sorry! Are You sure you okay?" I ask. He nodded, as he stayed in the water for a minute, keeping himself afloat. I put my hand in the water, feeling the temperature. "C' mon, Hiccup. Get out of the water, your going to catch a cold." I tell him. He used the dock, to get out of the water. His hair and clothing were drenched. I laugh a little. "Let's go."
LATER
Hiccup and I walk into the house shortly after our little adventure in the yard. Hiccup was still drenched. I'm surprised he isn't frozen. We didn't expect Hiccup's father to be at the door. It was then when Hiccup stopped looking at him. "Uh, hey Dad." He said quietly.
"Where were you?"
"I told you we were going for a walk." He answered.
Hiccup's father looked him over. He then grabbed his son's arm, examining him carefully. "Why are you drenched in water? Your freezing..."
"Oh... Yeah..." Hiccup chuckled quietly as he ran his hand through his partly dried, but fluffy hair.
"I... Uh... I uh fell in the water by the dock." He said shyly.
"How? How could you fall into the water?" His father asked.
Hiccup shrugged a little "I dunno.... just sorta... Happened." Hiccup's father flicked his sons head then pushed him to the stairs. "Get upstairs and change into something dry before you freeze."
"Okay. Okay." He muttered madly going upstairs. Hiccup's father sighed then started to walk away.
"Sometimes I don't understand that kid.." He muttered going into the kitchen.
"He is your son," Kim told him as the two left.
"Yes, I know that."
I meet up with Hiccup who came out of his room. He had a dry change of clothes on, but his hair was still all fluffy. "I know, it looks terrible." He said to me going back into his room. I follow him, as he went to his desk, getting a small mirror.
"What, your hair?" I ask.
"Yeah," he muttered, attempting to fix his hair.
I laugh a little. "It looks very... Fluffy." I say.
"Yeah... I know." He said when he finally had it, the way he usually did. "It's not perfect..." He said calmly.
I only smile again when I hear Asher start crying. Hiccup stumbled back a little. "I'll go get him," I say to him.
Hiccup sighed a little. "I gotta talk to my dad." He said to me. We both leave his room then go our separate ways.
