Part Two of the twins born in Birthday Surprise. You and the twins are at a Q&A panel to visit with Sebastian.
Warnings: None? Cuteness.
Written from the point of view of Alivia (same as the first part).
I sat back stage with Adelyn and Harrison. Sebastian was doing a Q&A panel, but it was the twins' nap time. We were in the prep room backstage, where I could hear everything but the twins were able to get the quiet and privacy to sleep.
"You post about your kids on occasion. I was wondering is one of the twins is more like you or Alivia than the other is?"
He chuckled. We have talked about that since they were a couple months old. Their personalities are so different than each other, and kind of mirror us. It's funny.
"Yeah, uh they definitely each favor one of us. Harrison is a copy of me; calm, adorable and obsessed with his mama." I laughed along with the audience. That was cute, and also pretty accurate.
"While Addie favors Liv; small, feisty, and sassy." That one made me giggle. "They are so funny together, too. They are so different in how they act, or how they handle things. Harrison is logical and calm. He can look at things and figure out what to do, or calmly get what he wants. Addie on the other hand..."
He chuckled and made his eyes big, making me giggle slightly along with him. "She is stubborn like her mother. She comes into things full force, ready to make her way work, no planning ahead just rolling with the punches."
"How did you react to the news of it being twins instead of a single baby?" He laughed awkwardly for a second. "Uh, honestly? Probably could have been better, but not the worst either. When that doctor moved the wand and we heard a second heart beat mix in... I dropped Liv's hand and said, 'Oh, you're shitting me.'"
I remember that too. I thought he was going to freak out. "She nervously said, 'No sir, Mr. Stan. There are two babies in there. It's twins.' I sort of laughed, looked at the screen and then looked at poor Liv; who now thinks I'm going to panic. I smiled as I sighed and said, 'Well.... twins, what do ya know?' The look of relief on my wife's face was priceless. It was surprising, but I am so thankful for those two. They have taught me a lot about love and forgiveness."
"If Adelyn or Harrison ever want to go into acting would you support that?" He laughed and rubbed his jaw. "Well, yeah. What kind of parent would I be if I didn't support whatever my kids' dreams are? I mean... right now? Harrison wants to be a dinosaur when he grows up. So every day we practice being dinosaurs."
Everyone burst into laughter. If only they could see it in action, it's adorably hilarious. "Supportive household over here. Whatever those two decide is their path in life, I'll be there along the way."
"Of all the characters you've played.... is there one your wife would leave you for?" He raised an eyebrow and pouted his lips, but I had to hold in my laughter.
The audience members laughed awkwardly, unsure of the meaning of his face. But then he smiled, "Let's just say.... it's a good thing for me the Marvel Universe doesn't exist in our universe, okay?" They exploded in laughter and excited gasps. I was blushing, and about to making him pay for that later.
Toward the end Adelyn woke up, grumpy like usual. "Daddy?" She asked. She loves when she can cuddle her daddy when she wakes up. Well, hell, she loves it all the time. "He's workin', peanut."
Her eyes welled up and that lower lip pouted out shakily.
Shit.
As the crying began, I tried to comfort her. But when she wants Sebastian she will only be soothed by him. "Shh, sweetie, it's alright. Daddy's close, and almost done. Breathe, peanut." Then Sebastian was at the doorway.
"Hey, come here Addie baby. Wanna come help daddy work?" He is wrapped around her tiny finger. Her face lit up and a smile took place of the frown. She climbed down and ran to him. "There's my little peanut. Come say hi to the people." He scooped her up to take her with him, shooting me a wink.
"Wave hi to everyone, Ads." He told her. She must've waved because they all laughed and awed. "Alright, sorry about that. Next question." He said politely.
"Don't ever apologize for being a good dad. That was so cute. Um, I was wondering... how do you manage to juggle dad life with acting?"
"Uh, well, my family always comes first. At the end of the day they are the most important part of my life. Liv is the love of my life, my rock, and my best friend. This little Prinţesă," God the Romanian kills me every time. "And her brother, are everything. So I make sure I put them first. And anything I do without them is for them in the long run. Being away for filming was really hard. They're not even three yet, so they don't understand yet why I'm not there every single day. But, Liv also makes sacrifices by traveling with them so I can see them on days off, or during down time."
"What is your favorite thing to do with your kids?" He laughed and tickled Addie. "Anything, honestly. But uh, probably the best moment of any day I spend with them... is either when they see me and come running to me, or when they curl up in my arms and fall asleep. That moment when they see me and come running to me happily... kills me every time. You know?" I looked down at Harrison, knowing exactly what he meant and agreeing with it whole heartedly.
"Alright, well that's it for me, guys. I should take this cutie back to her mom now. Thank you all for having me, and not minding my little girl being here with me. I love you all so much." God he is the sweetest. He loves these fans so fully and purely.
He walked back to the room, smiling at me as Addie giggled, playing with his hair. Watching him with our kids is my favorite thing. "There's my girl."
"Hi, honey. That sounded like it went well." He came over and kissed me, then softly kissed Harrison's head - he was still asleep. "It did. I liked having my other girl with me." He kissed her face as they sat down next to me. "I helped daddy." She said happily, wrapping her arms around his neck.
I played with Harrison's hair. "We should go get ready and maybe grab some dinner." I said softly. He nodded, "Okay, deal."
I stood back up, holding Addie who was still just in love with having her dad with her. Then he scooped Harrison up too. I stood up and smiled at him, "I'll just walk next to you and look pretty then." He shook his head and kissed me, "No, you'll walk next to me looking beautiful. As always, my love."
We walked out to the car to head back to go get ready and go to dinner. This life is hard some times, but it's definitely worth it all. I wouldn't trade a single day.
