I pulled at my shirt as I looked over my outfit. I looked decent enough for the first date. I saw Josh around the compound the past month or so, and he started talking to me. Then three days ago he asked if he could take me out on a day.

"Hey, Josh is here waiting for you. You're seriously going out with him?" Bucky's voice sounded at my door.

I rolled my eyes at his comment. "I know you aren't a fan of him, but you don't even know him, Buck. Please just be nice."

He crossed his arms and huffed, "I don't trust him."

I sighed as I grabbed my phone and wallet. "I love that you care so much. But I can go on dates with anyone I want to. I'll talk to you later."

I walked out and saw Josh waiting, his face was almost annoyed. I assumed Bucky said something to him, so I brushed it off. "Hey, Josh. Thanks for waiting. You look good."

He smiled back and offered me his hand, "You look beautiful. Let's get off to dinner." I put on a bigger smile, "Sounds great."

We got into conversation over dinner. He was really funny.

"So, Sergeant Barnes is actually your friend? Not just a teammate?" His tone changed after I mentioned a story of me and Bucky hanging out.

I cleared my throat before exhaling. "Uh, yeah. Bucky is my best friend. We are great as a team, but we are very close personally."

"And he never tried to get you into bed?" I was shocked.

He seemed serious, so I sighed, "No, definitely not. We never went that route. He is my friend." I emphasized it. I didn't know anyone thought that way about me and Bucky.

He nodded, giving me a weird smirk. I didn't understand. "Ah, well, it doesn't seem as though he wouldn't go there with you. So I just need to know you wouldn't do that behind my back."

I blinked a few times. "Wait... what?" He sipped his water, "Sorry, I just don't know if I'm comfortable yet with how close you two are."

"Oh. Well, you have nothing to worry about with us. I don't see it as a problem."

"Well, good but I'll just get used to it. For you... if you'll see me again?" He asked with a big smile. I was relieved and returned his smile with one of my own, "Yeah I think so."

Two weeks later we had gone on five dates. Tonight he was coming over to watch movies with me.

Bucky walked in looking rough – coming back from a four day mission. I tried not to freak out. "Hey, you're back. Come sit down."
