(I did write one pretty similar for my Supernatural imagines.)
You are with Steve, but things with Peggy get to you. When push comes to shove over Steve you fight and he leaves to go to her.
Warnings: heartbreaks, sadness, breakup
"Hey, Doll. What are you doing training alone?" Bucky's voice startled me slightly.
I smiled at him, "Couldn't sleep that great." I fibbed a little – which he saw right through. On top of being able to read people extremely well, he and I have gotten very close lately.
"Why's that?" He asked, I could tell he was playing along only to see what lie I'd tell.
I huffed and punched the punching bag a couple times, "Steve's talking in his sleep again." I half-admitted the truth. I caught Bucky's gaze, he nodded slowly as he thought.
His eyes unfocused slightly as his mind wandered for about thirty seconds. Then he looked sad, "Do you want to talk about it?"
"Not really." I said, fighting emotion as the sounds of earlier echoed in my head.
He nodded, "Alright. Just remember, he loves you. And if you need to, you can always come talk to me."
"Thanks, Bucky. I'll keep that in mind."
We worked out in a comfortable quiet, and he spotted me when I worked with weights. As we worked on sparring the door opened revealing Steve.
We paused our practice as Steve walked over with a curious face. "There you are, doll. Hey, Buck."
"Hey, punk." Bucky greeted him.
"Hi, honey." I said, wiping my forehead free of sweat.
"I was worried when I woke up alone." He commented, stopping at the edge of the mat.
I shrugged slightly, "Sorry. Woke up and couldn't fall back asleep. Then Bucky found me in here alone."
He smiled, "You could've woken me up, doll. But I'm glad you weren't alone. You want to go grab some breakfast?"
"Sounds nice. Bucky, do you want to join? After all, you helped me a lot." I offered.
He smiled but shook his head, "Thanks but I'll let you guys have a bit of time without your third wheel."
"You sure? You are always welcome to come along with us." Steve added.
"I'm sure. You guys go and enjoy."
I walked over to Steve, undoing the tape on my hands as I walked. He moved to kiss me, but my body pulled back. He looked hurt and confused, so I came up with a stupid reason. "Babe, I'm all sweaty. Let me go shower."
He didn't buy it, probably knowing it was nothing but crap. "Oh. Right. Of course."
"I'll meet you in twenty?" I asked with a smile.
He cleared his throat, shoving his hands in his pockets, "You, okay, doll."
I exhaled as I walked swiftly to our room to shower. I hated that the one thing he has begun mumbling in his sleep again gets to me like this. It's silly but I can't help the feeling. The feeling of not being good enough.
My shower was fast. Then I quickly brushed my hair, and teeth. Once I was dressed I went back to the main floor to find Steve. He was with Bucky, walking away from the gym. They seemed to be in an intense conversation.
"Ready to go, honey?" I called out to him, grabbing his attention. His eyes looked me over as he smiled.
He looked like he genuinely loves me, but my mind has it's doubts. "Definitely. You look gorgeous. Let's get going."
