Running into Sebastian after a break-up that was your idea. Things re-ignite.

Warnings: language. smut.

I walked into the coffee shop on my way home after a work meeting. I had things to do tonight and needed the caffeine. I was distracted by my phone when I heard my name come from a familiar voice. My head snapped up eagerly. He was right in front of me in the line, smiling at me. His eyes sparkled as his smile reached from ear to ear.

"Sebastian it's nice to see you." He looked damn good. Still bulked up for his Winter Soldier role, his hair long and soft.

"Ava, it's great to see you. You look great." I blushed, cursing that I was still so affected by him. "Thanks, Seb. So uh..." My eyes wondered over him again. "..So do you."

He chuckled, "Thanks. You busy right now?" We were almost to the front of the line. Everything I needed to do could wait a bit if I wanted.

"Um.... no, nothing that can't be pushed back some." "So, we could sit and catch up a little bit?" He sounded so hopeful, and I did sort of want to.

"Yeah, I would like that." "Awesome. Uh, go grab us a table, I'll get your coffee for you."

I raised my eyebrow, making him laugh, "It's just coffee, Ava." "You're sure you want to do that?" He nodded, "Yeah, it's not a big deal. I'll be right there." I nodded and went to find us a table.

I pulled out my phone to send a message.

Me: So I just ran into him. We're about to have coffee together.
Chris: Is that bad? He misses you, you know.
Me: I miss him too. So is this stupid?
Chris: No. You can be friends.
Me: I'll call you after?
Chris: Sounds good.

As I put my phone back in my pocket, Sebastian walked up with two cups. He handed me my cup, and it was perfect. He remembered.

"Thanks, Seb. You're very sweet." "No problem. Uh.... how have you been? I hear your book is due to come out soon."

I nodded, "Yeah, two weeks. So I'm doing some press stuff to help promote it before it drops. Pre-sales are already above what I had even dreamed."

He smiled as I spoke, looking proud. "I can't wait to read it." "You really don't have to do that." I said softly, then sipped my coffee.

"I want to. You're talented, dragă. I'm sure it will be an awesome book."

I bit my lip as my cheeks flushed at him calling my sweetheart in Romanian like he always used to. The way he sounds when he speaks Romanian drives me wild.

"Well, I appreciate that. How have you been?" He shrugged, "Pretty good. The movie is about to wrap. Then press tours, and the premier."

I nodded, "I can't wait to watch this one." "In your words, you don't have to do that."

I giggled and took another drink, "Yeah, but come on... It's Bucky." He laughed, his nose scrunching as his genuine smile covered his face. "You did always like him, maybe more than you did me."

I nodded and shrugged, "Plus it's you and Chris." He nodded slowly at the mention of our shared friend. "That's true."

It was quiet for a second. "Seb?" I almost whispered. His eyes locked with mine again curiously. "Are you happy?"

He pouted his lips thoughtfully, "At the moment, yes. In general? 50/50. How about you?"

I shrugged with a soft sigh, "I guess about the same. Depends on the day. Work has kept me pretty busy lately."
