Don't Blame Me

Louis Thursday
 
“shit” I shouted after I missed the goal again.
“Pollister” The coach waved me to him. “what´s up with you? You´re one of our best players we need you on Saturday  ”
“I know I know coach sorry”
“Whatever it is that´s on your mind figure it out. We can´t loose!” He shook his head to the fields so I walked onto it again.
“what´s up?” Kai jogged to me.
“Apparently I need to figure my shit out” I shrugged and started jogging Kai besides me
He laughed. “Well I guess you really do. But I need to too. He just didn´t notice it”
I stopped.
“The girls?”
He nodded.
“we´ll work something out” I fist-bumped him
 
Then we continued our training.
I still wasn´t the best and after Kai said he isn´t either I really saw it. It was like we were the worst players in the world. Coach seemed to go mad at the sight of our playing.
I felt like complete shit. I’m literally letting my whole team down because my mind is all over the place. That just isn’t fair. But at the same time I don’t know if it’ll be better next training because how is it supposed to? I don’t know what to do about the whole situation.
The more time I spend with Amy the more I want to get to know her better and just be there for her and be able to visit her and text her and tell her I like her.
You might think: Boy you’re in love or smt? I wouldn’t say I love her. I just want to be there for her you know? It’s way too early to say If I’d like her in that way. I definitely like her as a friend. She’s always honest and always there for you. Even tho I only know her for like not even a week  I never want to let her out of my life again.
 
“Louis, Kai a word” coach waved me to him for the second time this training now.
I looked at Kai and he shrugged.
“Boys I want to say I don’t know what’s up with you both but whatever it is I’m sure yall will figure it out ‘till Saturday. Also Chelsea wanted you both to go to their building.”
“Now?” I asked confused. They’d never pull us out if it wasn´t important.
“yes now you’re dismissed”
“thank you” Kai and I thanked our coach quickly for the training and took a quick shower.
 
“Do you think we’re in trouble.” Kai seemed kind of scared.
“Nah don’t worry Chelsea loves you! Maybe we´ve gotten chance for a new contract or smt “
“you think? But I want to stay here”
“Too. See ya there and wait for me”  I watched him walk to his car and when he was inside I got into mine aswell.
We drove to Chelsea’s HQ and walked into the building together.
“Nicole is waiting for you. Room 4” Her assistant told us so we walked there.
“Let’s hope for the best huh?” Kai nodded at me so I nodded back. Then he knocked.
“Come in" we heard and walked in
“Ahhh Boys good to see you have a seat”
We sat down.
“Before you think something is wrong: this is not about you”
“ah thank God” I sighted
Nicole laughed “Sorry I maybe should’ve said that whatever. So Chelsea just bought a new player. He is from Germany and he’ll arrive tomorrow evening. Maybe same time as it is right now. 7pm. Do you guys think you could show him around and maybe help him if he needs anything? Kai you know a little German don´t you that should help”
I looked at Kai “I’d have no problem with it you?” He shook his head
“Perfect. You can go now”
“Wait wait” I held Kai back who stood up already. “who are we even looking for?”
“His name is Julian. Julian Brandt. Just Google him and you’ll know who to look for”
“Thank you Nicole”.
We said our Goodbyes and walked back to our cars.
“So a new player huh?” Kai looked at me.
“Kai? Leave your car here. Drive w me and we’ll google him"
“That’s what I’m talking about” we laughed.
 
“he seems like a nice guy” Kai told me after we´ve already googled Julian.
“yeah but have you heard his English? It´s literal Trash”
“True but we´ll help him learn it”
“if we like him and he us. Don´t want to force him to spend time with us”
“is that the way you´re wanting to handle the girls?” Kai asked me.
“I feel like I owe Amy an explanation on what I even want. Like we send them gifts and just randomly show up at their place so like I don´t know also they never really reached out to us after the gifts ”
“true and like we can show up at their place but they can´t at ours. Seems unfair. We really should talk to them huh?”
I nodded.
“Damn I suck at talking” Kai pouted.
“Boy stop lying you talked more to Liz than everyone else even me”
“shush”
We laughed.
“So where we going?” I asked Kai starring at his phone.
“Your place right now” He seemed scared
“what? What´s up?”
“It´s Liz and Amy. I think something happened”
 
Oh fuck.
I switched lanes to get us faster to my house.
 
“what happened?” I slowed down to not go too much over the speed limit.
“I don´t know they´re not texting back” Kai started panicking
“they´re fine” I assured him. Actually, I tried to convinced myself with it.
“just please drive”
“Call them” I noticed we had that option
 
I tried focusing on the street but I kept risking small looks over to Kai to see his facial expression.
 
“Can’t reach her”
“ISTG” I mumbled
“I know. WAIT turn right here” He shouted so I quickly drove right
“Tf?”
“It’s quicker we’ll arrive from the other side which has less traffic and stop signs”.
 
And he was right soon we were able to see my house.
I drove into the garage and closed it behind us.
 
“So where are the girls?” I asked Kai while getting out.
“I have no clue.... maybe their by the front door?” so we walked into my house and wanted to walk to the front door.
“Wait.... wait” I stretched my arm out to stop Kai from walking.
“What?” He whispered
I grabbed his arm and walked into the kitchen.
No one was there.
“I could have sworn They’d be here” I shook my head.
“If they´re not here maybe they´re.....”
I knew he could only mean the living room which was right next door so we straight up ran there.
“omg are you ok”
“What’s wrong who died?” Kai and I ran into the room.
I looked back and forth between Liz and Amy who were laying on the couch looking rather comfortable than sad or anything else.
“huh what?” Liz asked confusedly
“Kai?” I looked at him and he looked at Liz
“Liz?” but she looked at Amy
“Amy?”
 “Louis?” she gave me the word back
“What happened here? Ok so Kai said something happened after you texted Wait what are you even doing in my house?” I sat down on the couch.
This whole situation got my head spinning.
“Holy shit you need water”
 I felt the sofa move meaning Liz probably got up to get me the water she talked about.
 
“are you ok” Amy touched my shoulder so I looked up to her.
“I´m just exhausted I guess”
“If you want to you can always talk to me. Anyway to answer your Question: To hide a spare key behind the lonely ass plant near the door is not the smartest thing to do”
I laughed.
“You´re probably right.” I smiled but then stopped and just looked at her.
“Amy?”
“Wassup?” she tilted her head
“Isn’t all this weird for you?”
“what exactly? Being here or?”
“The whole meeting me and like idk randomly getting gifts from me and I don’t know man" I wiped over my eyes
“I thought it was weird yes but I mean I don’t know that’s actually what I wanted to talk to you sometime like I never got what you’d want from me you know”
“I actually can’t answer that but ever since I met you I was like I’m not letting you go I guess. And I really like your company and wow u must think I´m weird”
“not at all.  It´s just I don´t know about all of this. I like peace and quietness and now all of that is gone”
“what do you mean?” there must be something behind that
“well that´s actually the reason we came here. Liz?!” she shouted.
Shortly after Liz and Kai came back.
“your water” she gave me a glass which I quickly emptied.
“the reason we´re here?” Amy asked her.
“right well boys we have a problem.”
“Go ahead” Kai sat down on my other side. Liz remained standing and Amy got up to stand with her.
“Well you guys were seen leaving the building of our appartement. At first nothing really happened like there were reporters for whatever reason....” Liz started
“and well then they somehow found out and now we can´t really go back well we can but we don´t feel safe” Amy finished
 
Holy shit all of that really was our fault
 
“fucking hell” Kai mumbled
“holy- we´re incredibly sorry it´s all our fault. We didn´t want all that to happen”
“Yeah shit is there anything we can do?”
They both shook there head.
“there must be something. You´re gonna stay here for awhile. To keep you safe”
“Oh come on nothing is gonna happen to us. Besides if we just keep meeting here and literally anywhere else we´re good.”
“Amy is right. I mean these people will soon notice you´re not gonna show up so they´ll leave. For now all you need to worry about is Saturday and the game”
“yeah that´s gonna be a problem” Kai scratched hid face
“Kai” I slapped him to be quiet
“what? What happened?”
“Nah we were just a bit distracted” I tried to play it off. They don´t need to know anything.
“You guys should come one day if you have time” Kai offered.
“We´d love to but if you´re distracted without us how distracted would you be with us...”
“Trust me sometimes it´s easier to have the person you´re thinking about all the time near you” I looked at Amy
“ok so we need a plan on how we can meet right?” Kai asked all of us.
I nodded and he got a “yeah” and “definitely” from the other two.
“ok then what if we use my apartment as hangout spot” Kai suggested
“Right forgot about that one. That would make sense. It´s big enough and has everything we´d need”
“Only food would be missing. I still own it so don´t worry about that. Wait omg why haven´t we thought about that?”
“what?” I asked him. Sometimes he´s just too fast with his thinking and I can´t follow him.
“They´ll just move into it. Problem fixed. They´re safe and we´d know it for sure”
“Right. Oh my god it´s perfect” I got excited.
“Uhm... Hello we´re still here” Liz didn´t sound very pleased.
“for real. And you can´t just throw a whole ass expensive apartment into our face and expect us to be forever grateful. Stuff your cash elsewhere. I´m outta here” Amy stood up
“Too” Liz linked her arm with Amy’s.
“You´ll never get it huh?” I looked at Amy.
“what now?”
“everything”
“wow that explains everything” She unhooked her arm from Liz´s so I grabbed it and took her to the kitchen.
“stop it Louis.”
“no I need to explain because you don´t get it and if I don´t you´ll never so: You´ll never get that I didn´t ask for the money and I don´t throw my money at you because I have the money and you might not but because I fucking care about you. You you ughhhht”
“hello? I didn´t ask for it and I might have been more accepting if you´d talked with me about it and not just with Kai like I wasn´t even there. A person who cares wouldn´t do that”
“no. A person who cares would die for the other even it it meant being away from them forever. But they´d be safe. They´d have the life they always dreamed of. And that´s all I want for you. I want you to have your quietness and peace. I want you to finish your studies and be whatever you want to be. And If I can help you with your dreams in any way, I will do that.”
“louis..”
“no stop it I know you might not want to move but please think about it. Just think about the good things it would do for you and then just text Kai your decision and you´ll never ever have to see me again. I get it you don´t understand my way and I´ll let you be and- “
“will you just shut up for a minute” she laughed. “Louis all I wanted to say was Thank you. Before I really didn´t get how much you really cared about me but now I do. So thank you for that and well all the things you want for me and god there´s a lot to thank you for.” She took a deep breath.
“If Liz agrees too we´ll move. It will make things easier for her and I and for us. You´ll know I´m safe and we won´t have to stop seeing each other.”
“wait does that mean?”
“Hello? I won´t walk out of your life like that. It may take some time until I´ll get used to all this but I´ll try ahh” she squeaked as I hugged her, lifted her up the floor and twisted us around.
“oh sorry” I put her down as I noticed what I just did
“never apologize” she winked.
“ok madame”
“hey!” she protested
“no no you really sounded like some sort of high person in like 1500”
“No I didn´t”
“yes you did”
“no”
“yes”
“no”
“yes”
“no”
“you´ll forever hear this” I teased as I walked back out the kitchen to see if everything was alright with Kai and Liz
“You RAT.   Hey don´t leave me”
But I was already back in the living room.
I saw both Liz and Kai smiling.
“can we stay” Liz asked me and I nodded.
“not only here but also at Kais” I smiled
“yup” Amy stood behind me.
“sounds like a plan” Liz smiled.
I clapped my hands. “now everyone move to the kitchen and let´s cook”
 
 And we did with tons of laughing and music.
It´s really nice actually that way I don´t only get closer to Amy but also with Liz and even Kai.
It´s all I could want and that´s the way I love to spend my evenings.
The girls even convinced us to watch a Concert of their favourite band.
And that´s where we fell asleep.
