"I knew rabbits were horny but I wasn't expecting to walk into a rabbit bukakke!" I say as we walk down the sidewalks.
We are walking to a plaza that wasn't too far from the rabbit sanctuary.
I wipe a tear from my eye, unable to hold back my laughter.
"My man Jeffery was goin crazy with them ladies." Ace chuckled
"I love that you gave each of the rabbits a name, it was kind of cute..."
I lean in closer to Ace and wrap my arm around hers, to give it a quick snug.
I hope I'm not doing too much for her...I just feel like I'm gonna have to be assertive with her or else this won't go anywhere anytime soon.
Ace clears her throat and some silence forms between us.
Shit. Okay, dial it back some.
"And the guide was so shook! Her trying to explain what was going on to the kids was priceless."
Ace giggles.
"So...when a rabbit likes another really really much-"
"The mothers couldn't have covered their child's ears any faster!"
We both laugh until Ace stops us.
She points at a restaurant with a giant cartoon shrimp as a logo.
"This is it. The only place in Nevada that's got food almost as good as the joints back home."
"Where did you say you were from again?"
"Good ol Louisiana, home of the unfiltered and straight up crazy asses." She says with a little bit of a southern accent leaking out.
"Sounds intense, don't know if it's my scene, haha."
"It's an acquired taste, It's more like a love hate with me."
Ace shrugs.
We meet the host and eventually a server comes to take us to our seats.
We sit down at the table and begin to look over the menu. Ace said they mostly have seafood and crawfish platters here.
She's already decided on what she wants to eat, meanwhile I'm looking for my basic burger which I can't find anywhere on the menu.
Seafood this...seafood that...
I run a hand through my hair.
"What if I was allergic to seafood?" I ask as I bring my eyes to look at Ace.
The corner of her lip goes up into a smile and then she speaks.
"They have salads." She jokes.
"Oh, were you going to order for your nice lady friend...sir?" I grin.
