"Hey Imma go check on Ace before I go home so don't wait up."
"You're funny if you think you're going anywhere alone after what just happened."
Audree looks me up and down before crossing her arms over her chest.
"Okay, Mom."
There's a pause and then she says:
"Baywee can come with me."
"I can go with her if you want!"
They speak in unison.
"I got what I needed so, I'm out." Blake states as he walks away. "Later Skaters."
He puts up a peace sign as he walks away into the distance.
I glance over at Delilah to see her staring at the dead aliens body.
She's hugging herself with a distraught look on her face. Her lower lip hangs between her teeth and she's biting down so hard I think she'll draw blood soon. Her hands visibly tighten around her frame and she shakes her head slightly.
"I killed her..." she states under her breath. "I-!"
I walk over to her and place a hand around her waist, pulling her into a hug.
She's still tense at first, but once she notices it's me embracing her, she loosens up a bit.
"Come on. Let's get you outta here."
Delilah nods her head and doesn't speak.
I walk over to Audree and I give her a look that says 'if you need anything, call me' which she nods her head to in response.
I'm not entirely sure what to say to Delilah and since she isn't speaking much to begin with, the walk back to the dorm is silent so far.
"Are you sure you're okay?"
Delilah nods her head.
"I'm fine." She says harshly.
Stupid question Zahaire...change the subject.
Again. I can't think of anything to say so I stay silent. It's not long before we make it to the dorm room.
We stand in front of the dorm room door not saying a word.
Delilah's the one who breaks the silence.
"Stop worrying about me, Zaharia."
"Hey," I let out a small cackle. "You need to stop hanging out with Audree."
Delilah smiles for what feels like the first time today.
"Audree's a fun person."
"Yeah yeahhh..." I trail off. "But don't call me Zaharia."
"Alright alright...if not Zaharia thennn, Hari?"
"No."
"Zaza?"
"No."
"Ria."
"Hell no." I say. I make sure to add extra emphasis on the hell so Delilah knows how serious I am.
She smiles again and I smile back at her.
"I want something special to call you."
"If you want something special to call me-," I lean closer to Delilah and keep eye contact with her. "How 'bout you call me your boyfriend?"
Delilah's cheeks flush and she smiles before nodding her head.
"Boyfriend works."
"Cool."
"Cool."
"Ice cool."
Delilah grabs her dorm key from her pocket and unlocks her room door.
"I'll text you later, yeah?" She says.
I nod and stuff my hands into my basket shorts.
Delilah walks up to be and gets on her tippy toes. She places a kiss on my cheek and quickly disappears into her room.

Audree helps me find something to hide the body in. After going through a few dumpsters we ran across a decent sized wooden box behind a hardware store.
"We can use this to put her in, and then I'll just take her back to the pod and throw her into the UV chamber."
"We have a UV chamber now?"
"Unfortunately our recent circumstances have forced me to get more creative with how we disposed of our...problems."
"Oookaay...how are we going to move this box?"
That's a good question...I could easily lift this if I bulked up a little but that would cause more attention-
"Braylon let's use this!"
She points at an object with a curved metal bar attached to a plate with wheels.
Thats a...a dolley!
Memories of a dolley come flowing to me much easier than before.
"Good idea. I'll lift the box you bring the dolley under."
