After multiple minutes of pacing back and forth and thinking about how we should handle this, I finally come up with a plan.
"Alright Audree, here's what we're gonna do we have to-," I look up and see that Audree isn't there.
Panic starts to take over my body but I relax at the sight of Audree leaning down over the persons, o-or whatever that thing is, body.
"Get away from that thing!" I shout in a low whisper.
I jog over to Audree and pull her away.
"Man, you're no fun." Audree pouts.
"Don't tell me you were actually gonna touch it."
Audree looks up at me and she shrugs as she shoves her hands in her pocket.
She mumbles something about wanting to feel its skin.
I mentally facepalm myself before speaking again.
"Don't touch anything, this is officially a crime scene...if you touch something you'll leave a part of yourself here and be a suspect."
"Zahaire, this is like beyond police business...This is like some area 51 shit!" Audree stops and her eyes widen as if she just had a revelation.
"What?" I ask.
"Oh my god..." She covers her mouth.
"AUDREE what is it!" I shout, getting anxious and impatient.
"The morning we left...o-on the news there was a report of some explosion happening at area 51."
"Wait wait wait, so your saying this is an alien in the basement of a frat house. How do those two things even happen?"
We are interrupted by footsteps coming down the stairs. I start to look around for something to cover the body and Audree is still trying to touch the alien and examine its features.
"Audree you're not helping!" I whisper.
I find a dropcloth and try to finish covering the body and I knock something over as I hecticly drag the body away.
"Hello is anyone down here?" I hear a man's voice.
I tried to make myself small and hide in a dark corner. I look up to see what Audree is doing and I see that she is getting up to meet the man!
"Heeeey, sorry I was just trying to look for some drinks and I think I got lost." She laughs nervously.
"Oh okay...wait is that?"
"Oh this? It's just some paint I spilled haha!" Audree quickly replies as she gestures to the blood on the ground.
I hear the man take more steps so I decide to get up and face the music.
"Okay I know it looks bad but it's not what it looks like-"
The man takes a step closer but he quickly steps back once he notices the black light. I think back to how the body was burning earlier and eventually revealed the true form of the alien.
