Derek's P.O.V

I finally found the alpha myself. He revealed himself by following some woman's car. I could sense where he was. I could hear the noise of him jumping on her car from a distance, but the only problem was that the car belonged to Kate Argent. Fuck, just thinking about it makes me anxious. The amount of hate I feel towards her... I got to him. He smashed her window and grabbed her but she shot threw the roof of her car and escaped through the passanger seat. She tried to taunt him, but he was already gone. I looked for the blood from the shot he got from Kate and noticed him on a roof. He snarled at me and I quickly followed him. As I was jumping from one roof to another, while following the alpha, I got shot. Shit. Kate followed me. I fell hard on the ground. Oh, no. I examined the wound on my arm. The bullet glew with a blue-purple light.

Not only that I've been shot by Kate, I also noticed Jade's and Scott's scent. That's not good. Scott was probably summoned by the alpha. But what does Jade think she's doing out here? It's too dangerous. If Kate had noticed her... She would've killed her.

"Derek!" I heard Jade call. She appeared next to me. Oh, no... I can't risk her being here.

"I'm okay. Everything is okay." I assured her, even though we both know I'm lying. "Just take me away without them noticing."

"Okay." She breathed, and I noticed her eyes sparkling. I really can't see her crying. Not only that it aches me to see her crying, but I can't comfort her and we both know she needs to be strong right now.

"T-take me tomorrow morning to Scott. P-please." I stuttered from the pain. It started burning. Fuck, feeling this is torture.

"I will." She nodded. "You'll be okay. Don't worry." Her heartbeat was uncontrollably fast. It sounded as if her heart is about to explode.

   "You don't believe it."

"Derek." She started walking with me.

"I'm not dying. I'm f-fine." She sighed. "Jade." I stopped walking, making it harder for her to move. My hand was wrapped around her shoulder and the weight of my body was heavy. I don't want her to use too much of her powers to help me. She's going to have a long day with me.

   "Why are you stopping?"

"I need you. Don't shut down on me."

   "I want you to walk."

   "Stop."

"You stop. This is meaningless." She's wrong. "I don't want to talk and I don't want to cry, so please." As much as I didn't want to go with this, I had to. I need her help and we need to talk when I get better.

Jade and I walked at Scott's school. We were barely talking. She helped me walk through the school's hallway, but I was being knocked into by people. Fuck, I hate it here. Too many bad memories... I noticed a teen that played lacrosse with Scott the other day and walked towards him. I need to find Scott and he might know where he is.

"Where's Scott McCall?" I asked him.

"Why should I tell you?" He responded cockily. Ugh.

"Because I asked you politely, and I only do that once." Jade squeezed my arm to make me stop. I really can't give a damn right now.

"Hmm. Okay, tough guy. You know, how about I help you find him if you tell me what you're selling him? What is it? Is it, uh, Dianabol? Hmm? HGH?" Oh, God. An idiot. Great, that's what I need right now.

"Steroids." I murmured with a face expression that yelled are you stupid?

"No, girl scout cookies. What the hell do you think I'm talking about?" He talked to me rudely and I didn't like it. I didn't like it at all. "Oh, and, uh, by the way, whatever it is you're out selling, I'd probably stop sampling the merchandise. You look wrecked." I noticed blood dripping down my hand. The bullet is making me lose more blood. Shit, I must fix it soon.
