12. Masterplan

Derek's P.O.V

   Jade, Peter and I walked inside the locker room as we heard Scott ripping off a locker's door.

   "We need to talk." Jade and I told Scott as we saw him. Scott turned to look at us. Well, that's not the kick in the balls for him. Not to mention that this night had been a hard pill to swallow for him.

   "All of us." Peter added and Scott jumped. His eyes widened, and his heart was pumped faster. He didn't seem so thrilled.

   "Holy shit." Scott responded. He turned mad. I wonder what makes his mood swing. Is it the fact that Peter's here? Or that he's standing here with Jade and I? "What the hell is this??"

   "You know, I thought the same thing when I saw you talking to Gerard at the Sheriff's station." I replied. Of course I had to bring it up. I felt betrayed, especially after I committed into an alliance with him.

   "Okay, hold on. He- he threatened to kill my mom and I had to get close to him. What was I supposed to do?" Scott asked.

   "I'm gonna go with Scott on this one. Have you seen his mom? She's gorgeous." Peter commented.

   "Shut up." Scott, Jade and I told him together. No one cares about who he's attracted to.

   "Besides, you shouldn't have left Jade behind like that." Scott scolded me. Is he really scolding me? "You made a deal with me to get her on your pack but you left her behind like you didn't care. She's not responsible for my acts. And you need to act your age. Jade's been by your side for years." He's right. I know he's right, but I'm not going to say anything. I don't want all of them to be involved in this. Jade shook her head a little.

   "Who is he?" Isaac asked, changing the subject. He seemed a little uncomfortable at what Scott told me.

   "He's a psychopath that haunted me so he could get back to life." Jade answered. I had a feeling that someone was messing with her mind, but I didn't know that it was him.

   "In other words, that's Peter, Derek's uncle. Little while back, he tried to kill us all, and then we set him on fire, and Derek slashed his throat." Scott explained and I rolled my eyes. I'm not up for these small-talks. If they haven't noticed, we don't have much time.

   "Hi." Peter greeted.

   "That's good to know." Isaac mumbled.

   "How is he alive?" Scott asked.

   "Look, the short version is he knows how to stop Jackson and maybe how to save him." I replied. At least I'm still loyal to our alliance.

   "Well, that's very helpful except Jackson's dead." Isaac informed us. Oh, no... That's not good.

   "What?"

   "Yeah, Jackson's dead. It just happened on the field." Scott added. Peter, Jade and I switched looks between us. We all knew that it's not good. Gerard doesn't do things just because. He has a plan behind it.

   "Okay, why is no one taking this as good news?" Isaac asked.

   "Because if Jackson is dead, it didn't just happen. Gerard wanted it to happen." Peter answered.

   "But why?" I asked. 

   "Well, that's exactly what we need to figure out and something tells me the window of opportunity is closing. Quickly." We left the school and drove back to our old house. I can't go to the subway hideout since it's not safe anymore.

   "They found Stiles." I heard Scott telling Jade. Huh. I didn't even know that he was missing. Peter was searching for something through the house and told me to help him. He didn't even tell me what he was searching for.
