Jade's P.O.V

"Faster?" Scott asked as he was driving Derek's car. Kate was following us in her car as we were trying to help Derek escape the police, since thanks to Scott, he's a fugitive. I felt so nervous and uptight because if we won't get to Derek, he might be arrested and it doesn't matter how much money we have, they won't release him.

"Much faster." Stiles responded. But Scott didn't get the point of going much faster. I want him to go full gas and drive as fast as he can. The hunters are also after us and if Kate sees me... I'm dead. She'll do anything to torture Derek. "Scott, I don't think you're grasping the concept of the car chase here."

"If I go faster, I'll kill us."

"Well, if you don't go faster, they're gonna kill us!"

"No, no," I corrected. "Scott, if you don't go much faster, I'll kill you both." Scott's heart began beating faster and he drove a little faster. This isn't good enough. I should've sat in the driver's seat...

"They're gone." Stiles informed when we noticed Kate wasn't behind us anymore. Stiles turned on the police scanner to hear that Derek was heading further into the ironworks.

"Scott, drive faster, we need to get there before they do anything to him!" I raised my voice, knowing the fear makes Scott drive faster. And we eventually reached Derek. Chris shot a flash-bomb arrow near Derek, temporarily blinding him. Fuck. I wish I could get out and help him. Derek managed to hide behind a forklift, but Chris kept shooting at him. We pulled up not too far from him.

"Get in." Stiles ordered Derek, and Derek dodged bullets to get inside the car. We drove away.

"What part of laying low don't you understand?" Scott scolded him.

"Dammit, I had him!" Derek yelled. He was trying to investigate one of the teachers at Scott and Stiles' high school, and clearly he failed doing that.

   "Who, the alpha?" Stiles asked.

"Yes! He was right in front of me, and the freakin' police showed up." Yeah, we know who's fault it is.

"Whoa, hey, they're just doing their jobs-"

"Yeah, thanks to someone who decided to make me the most wanted fugitive in the entire state." Derek interrupted Stiles, anger could be sound in his voice. He was furious and I can understand why. The police and the hunters are after him.

"Can we seriously get past that? I made a dumbass mistake. I get it." Scott defended himself.

"Dumbass mistake?? Are you kidding me-" I began, but I was cut off by Stiles.

"Alright. How did you find him?" Derek slightly shook his head. He doesn't trust them because of the things they've done to him, for example: telling him to the police, twice.

"Can you try to trust us for at least half a second?" Scott questioned. As much as I want to help them, they've been acting against us for too many times.

"Yeah, both of us." Stiles spat, but immediately regretted it as Derek glared at him. "Or just him. I'll be back here."

"Look, the last time I talked to my sister, she was close to figuring something out. She found two things. The first was a guy named Harris." Derek explained, and I felt surprised to see him telling them this.

   "Our chemistry teacher?" Stiles asked.

   "Why him?" Scott followed.

"I don't know yet." Derek replied.

   "What's the second?"

"Some kind of symbol." Derek showed him the drawing. Scott had a look like he knew what was is... Oh, no. I don't like that look. It's not good. "What? you know what this is?"

"I've seen it on a necklace. Allison's necklace."

☼

"I could've caught him..." Derek was still mad from before. We finally reached home and the only thing I wanted was to go to sleep.

"Derek, you'll catch him. Believe me." I assured him. And he'll also kill him. Ugh... Just thinking about this sends shivers down my spine.

"No, I want to kill him right now." I don't like hearing this coming from him. We're not killers, doesn't matter how bad this alpha is.

"If you don't listen to me, you won't find him at all. You're being so stubborn."

"What do you know about him?" He looked at me with disgust. I felt offended by that look. He never looked at me like that... He's changing. Coming to this town with him was a mistake. I should've stayed in New-York. "You probably had a vision about him, huh?"

"Stop acting that way. It won't end well if you continue walking that road." I warned him, and he seemed frustrated by what I said. Oh, fuck him.

   "I'm sorry. I-"

"You know, one day, I'll be tired on forgiving you." I informed him. I felt too exhausted to hear him ask for forgiveness when I know he's going to start this again in a few days or even hours. "You know, I think I'm tired of it right now." I was about to leave to I don't know where when Derek stopped me. He placed his lips onto mine, kissing me. But I pushed him away with all my force, making his back hit the wall. Asshole. My heart was pounding fast. "Goodbye, Derek." I left the house. I walked outside, in the woods, trying to understand where should I go. But I felt sharp pain in my leg. I looked down and saw an arrow. Oh, shit. I removed the arrow, trying to run away as fast as I could, but another one hit my stomach. That's not good. Before I could take it out, I was caught.

"There's no running away now, Jade."

☼

"Oh, good, you're awake." Kate? Oh, my God. It wasn't a dream. I really did get kidnapped by Kate. I noticed I was chained to an iron gate and had wires attached all over me which lead back to a fuse box that was on a wooden table. "Now, let's have fun." She turned on the fuse box. Shit! It hurt so badly, I couldn't not scream. The electric zaps were much stronger than they should've been. I felt like crying. I missed Derek for a moment. I wanted him to save me. He'll notice that I was gone. He won't let me disappear like that. She turned it off. "What the hell are you?" I shook my head. "We can stay here as long as you want. All you need to do is shift." I will never. It doesn't matter how much in pain I am. I'll never let her win. I'll find a way to get out. I don't need Derek to help me. I can do it on my own.
